“You’ve walked into the gates of hell beautiful and got the attention of the devil. I will have you and you will beg me for more, pet,” he whispers before pulling away and striding towards the exit.
I absolutely loved this book. What an incredible debut! The story drew me in right away and the pacing of it was excellent. The writing was great and I appreciated the well-placed humor.
When the book starts, Seb is in a relationship with Katie, who’s a real bitch btw. Seb’s in desperate need of a job so that he can stay afloat. Things haven’t been great for him lately, his parents died in a tragic accident and he doesn’t have anyone that gives a shit about him. He’s struggling.
I'm one bad day from a breakdown. I've nowhere to go and my life is a coffin that's losing all the oxygen.
Luckily, he has an interview for a job at a local club so things might be looking up. The club is owned by the Kozlov brothers, Dima and Lev. Dima was perfect as his overbearing boss. He’s so possessive and knows what he wants. Dima saw something he wanted in Seb and went right after it.
I don't know boundaries and I get what I want. What I want is him, preferably bent over this table while the audience watches me claim him.
Dima knew Seb was special from the moment he saw him. So much so that Dima wants to keep Seb to himself and protected in a gilded cage, but Seb will not be controlled like that and stands his ground. They come to an understanding that works for them.
“I want you to crave me, to need me, to never be able to live without me. I will never share you, beautiful. We belong to each other and I will kill anyone who touches you or tries to take you from me without remorse.”
The chemistry between them was perfection! Seb wanted to fight it and was constantly questioning himself along the way, but it was obvious that he wanted Dima even when he felt unsure.
Setting my drink down on the table, and purposefully licking my lips. He follows the movement, and the way his Adam's apple sharply swallows, I know this fucker is tempted and confused. I may have unlocked dick lust in the guy. If I’m his first, I’ll high-five myself for such an accomplishment. I’d better be his fucking first.
This book has blood play and knife play in it! Thank you for that Syn!!! I love when these kinks are included in books. And the sex in this, WOW, let me tell you it was extremely hot.

Besides the romance, there was a great plot revolving around some side characters and I loved it. I don’t want to spoil it, so just go read this! If there is one thing to know about the Kozlov brothers it’s not to cross them. Things won’t end well for you.
This guy is not like anyone I've ever met and I have to smile back. This is fucked up, but I don't know, I kinda like being on the receiving end of crazy.
This book had all my favorite tropes and I cannot wait for Lev’s book. If you love a dark, possessive mafia romance, then this book is for you! Tied To You will be available on August 23.

Tied to You is a darkly entertaining romance between a meek bartender and his demanding boss. Their attraction is instant and what follows is a primal, feral possessive love story that takes many different turns that are both violent and passionate.
I really enjoyed Seb and Dima's story. It was an unexpected and entertaining story about opposites attracting with a very strong instalove that not only shocks Seb but also makes him insanely smitten with the diabolically violent and persuasive Dima.
I always enjoy a character who does not acknowledge or understand the word "no" and Dima perfects this character type. He is aggressive, demanding, and completely comfortable owning and possessing Seb, who secretly loves all the attention. Together they are quite a pair that create havoc wherever they go. Really enjoyed this debut novel and am curious to see what comes next!

I wanted to dirty him up and lick him clean. The obsession and need to have him is fully in my blood now, and it's in my nature to be possessive. It’s a new level of possessiveness for me that I have not felt before. It doesn’t scare me but it probably should scare Seb. I’m not a good man and I have no limits in place when it comes to protecting and keeping what’s mine. Seb now falls under my wing and I don't see that ending.
this was a face paced, insta love/attraction story which is not something i normally gravitate towards but it has mafia, dark romance, extreme possessiveness, touch him and die, and those tropes are exactly what i love and this book delivered in all those plus more. the insta love/attraction works perfectly here in my opinion bc i could not picture it happening any other way bc of how naturally Dima and Seb connected, and how they immediately gravitated towards each other. there is nothing slow and soft about Dima/Seb. they love each other intensely, in a way that was volatile and toxic, but so thrilling and all consuming. although, they surprisingly had some sweet moments between them that made me fall in love with them even more. how Seb called this bad scary russian mafia man "baby" and how much Dima loved it, had me giggling so hard. it was so cute.

Once Dima sees Seb for the first time, he pursues him on the spot and will stop at nothing until Seb is his. i knew immediately i was going to love Dima. he is a total walking red flag and absolutely unhinged, but i loved how determined he was to be with Seb. however, i didn't expect to equally love Seb too. he didn't let Dima walk over him, and he put up a fight when he needed to. I loved how he challenged Dima in a way that Dima didn't expect. they turned out to be a power couple and took the "husbands who murder together stay together" seriously. they were each others perfect match.
I don’t possess rational thoughts around him. It's like we are fated. My beast was meant to bring out his demon. We are as one and always will be, he is never escaping me and I think he knows that now. The blood spilled in this room tonight will bind us together. For eternity.
this is a short read, just 207 pages. besides the romance, there is also a plot that had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. so this is a book that is easily devoured bc there was not one dull moment. plus the sex scenes? there is bdsm in here, knife and blood play, and they were all smokin 🔥🔥🔥 you do have to suspend beliefs bc it is completely unrealistic and ott, but if you are able to do that, i think this story can be easily loved!
and i NEED Lev's story now.

DNF @ 40% - This author is lucky I don’t rate books if I don’t make it 50% unless they are cringy or warrant a low rating. This isn’t cringy it just sucks.
Look, I know not to take this book seriously because it’s ridiculous but I just cannot for another minute. I have fallen asleep so many times I’ve been in the same chapter for days and it’s during a sex scene 😂😂 This is the author’s debut and I see potential for more while simultaneously hating the writing. I also dislike the formatting but that’s not what is causing me to put this down. Dima is supposed to be a mob boss with his brother but he reminds me of some cheesy villain twirling his mustache. I just can’t. 🙄

I know this book was this author's debut and I'm sorry to say it, because I can't write for shit myself so I'm not being smart here, but - this was utter crap. This was like a teenager writing a story with tropes they know nothing about. It was like one of those really bad m/f books where a guy is a sexy dangerous bad guy in her mind, when he's really just a sleezy dick with greasy hair acting all important, strutting around her with his Swiss pocket knife jabbing left and right and pretending he's a villain.

This was almost like a parody on dark romance. I could vividly imagine a cartoon with OTT funny characters playing this off.
Seb was a 25-year old guy who's lost everything and is staying at a shitty apartment with his fiance Katie. They don't love each other, they're more broke than not and when Seb tries to get a better job as a bartender at a night club the Kozlov brothers own, Dima, the older 29-year old brother spots him and wants him for himself.
The build-up and the tension was good for a while, I did mind the very small age gap, because Dima seemed much older, he was acting like a Daddy when he was basically almost the same age and height as Seb, so I honestly couldn't imagine that attitude from Dima, it was ridiculous. I couldn't see it. Being a Daddy doesn't have that much to do with age and physical appearance, yes, but in this case Dima screamed Daddy energy. He should've been older.
When Dima out of nowhere and for no particular reason kidnaps Seb is where the two of them lost me. I love kidnappings and dub or non-con, but in this story it wasn't well executed. Not only it was there just for the sake of it, it didn't fit into the story and completely ruined that initial dynamic that seemed promising.
Seb goes from being straight and fighting back to suddenly completely surrendering to Dima and loving him soon after. Seb's bi-awakening was pretty good, but happened at triple speed and the dick-drunk Seb just fell into this almost non-con relationship, moving in with Dima just like that, no second thoughts, no questions asked, being bratty occasionally, but that's about it.
And the writing, oh my god, the writing was poetic, wasn't it??
"I’m an animal and I’ve scented my mate. If I had a tail, it would be wagging with my ears perking up and I’d be sniffing his ass."
"Fuck, he smells good too. Woodsy and spicy. Maybe he is a wolf after all."
"His grin widens, showing all his teeth like he’s a damn shark. He scares the shit out of me when he smiles like that. He’d make a great replacement for the clown in the IT movies."
And then some ass poetry too, which I don't mind, I love ass, but
"But he will learn that when I’m fucking that tight little body into the mattress, he belongs to me, just as much as my cock belongs in that bouncy ass. It’s an ass the Kardashians should be jealous of."
“I have never seen such a perfect ass like this, beautiful. My own juicy peach.” he leans into my ear. “Who does this ass belong to? Who gets to enjoy this peach whenever he wants?”
Oh, god. 🙄 Oh Romeo, sit down.
The dialogues were terrible. Terrible. Dima probably couldn't pronounce Seb's name, so he was constantly throughout the whole ass book calling him "beautiful". And no, it wasn't hot.
My god these two were boring.
And the main culprit for Seb's life gone to shit was Katie, the ex. This author must have a real problem with women because looking at their writing there's a lot of slut shaming that's happening to Katie, but never to the guys - not directly.
Katie's a bitch, a whore, a used up pussy, a psycho and plenty of other fantastic names.
"Nobody wants desperate pussy, especially a used up one like this crazy bitch."
And eeeeverything is slutty. Did you notice that? Every fucking thing in this book when it comes to sex is slutty or you're a whore for just wanting or having sex - apparently. And don't think for a second it's hot and sexy, no, it's not, it reeks of slut shaming, so it felt like the author just put those words in there to make it seem like you're reading a spicy book when in fact, you're not.
The sex Dima and Seb are having isn't passionate and hot, it's boring, because there's no connection felt between them.
The brothers aren't psychos and they aren't dark villains. They're just plain crazy. They forgot to take their meds. They'd probably fuck each other if left alone for too long. Hey, it'd probably make for a better story too. 🤨
I'll most likely read Lev's book just to see if the storytelling and the writing has improved much and yeah, what's with all the spacing between the paragraphs?? Quite a few grammatical mistakes too.

The story is crazy as hell but I must be too because I loved it. 😍

I can’t get enough when my fictional men are possessive, intense and shameless. It's practically the exact definition of Dima and Seb, so it's no surprise that I liked it so much! 🖤🖤🖤🖤

Wow what a debut novel this was!! I was absolutely feral for these two, completely and utterly invested, and I will never be the same again. Dima and Seb were so toxic and possessive and I loved it so much. There was no boundary line, that was completely obliterated from the get go, and the hurt, it was delicious and dark and I need more from Syn Blackrose! You can safely say this book is going to be a favourite of mine, the way I felt about this was wild and exhilarating. I was questioning everything about myself the entire time and I was completely sucked in. The pacing and character development was so well done, you'd think it was from a well seasoned author instead of baby one, it was super impressive! I cannot wait to see what more comes from this author in the future!

Where do I even start? I did finish this book in 24 hours. I was totally invested and couldn't stop - why does my daily life interfere with that passion? 🙄
Seb (Sebastian), is a poor little baby 🥺❤. I was totally rooting for him and getting the life he deserves. His parents died five years ago in a car accident, his fiancée is a self-centered brat who doesn't give a fuck about him. The little inheritance he got is gone...he needs a job sooner rather than later. He got a one-week try at a burlesque bar as bartender, which is owned by the infamous Kozlov Brothers. Everyone knows them and that they have some side business, but no one is stupid enough to interrupt them. One night Dima, the oldest brother, catched his eyes on Seb, and is enchanted by him. Dima is very possessive, and he always gets what he wants. 😏
"Hmmm, that's right, beautiful. Fuck you look good on that bike. Good to know you know how to ride powerful things. It will come in handy."
While the first half of the book, is focused on the chase of Dima after Seb (who is straight and in a relationship 🙈😅-I just want to add here that there is no cheating on MC side ) the second half is more story based, and we got a lot of action 😏 and so much satisfaction at the end for a certain person.
The spice doesn't disappoint, it's deliciously kinky 🥵🔥, and I really liked how Dima slowly showed him how good they both can be together. They both are good together and the attention and love Seb needed was so good.

2 stars because i would love to read this again in a version that doesn't read like a wattpad romance written by a teenager.
the same book that gave lines like: If I had a pussy, I'm certain I would’ve drenched the sheets through to the mattress.

so like naturally, i was entertained but not always for the right reasons lol. like really? "cop insiders?" bffr lmfaooo
Seb is grieving the death of his parents and his shitty relationship while jobless and living in a dumpy apartment. he's stopped caring about anything and his only desire is to get a job so he can get back on his feet and ditch his fiancée for good. his job hunt leads him to a club owned by Russian brothers who are not so secretly involved in some seedy dealings.
Dima is one half of the Russian sibling duo. when he spots Seb, he immediately decides he wants him. and when i say immediately, i mean he took one look at him and was chomping at the bit to bend him over the table. unfortunately for him, Seb is engaged and very much straight. riiiiiight.
this book just zooms right through. there's very little exposition in the way of sexual tension and building up chemistry between the two mcs. there is a month time jump between their initial meeting and Dima using an old fuck buddy to make Seb jealous before they're kissing in the bathroom of the club. the next day, Dima kidnaps Seb and takes him home. we hop, skip, and jump to stockholm syndrome. suddenly Seb isn't so straight, but at least he broke up with his fiancée before getting kidnapped so Dima has one less thing to worry about.
there's a lot of spice but i wouldn't say any of it is particularly good. i do enjoy the mouth on Dima because i love dominating dirty talk, but the rest is pretty meh. they use blood and spit for lube multiple times and it's all very humdrum. just a shitty amalgamation of most dark mafia romances, really.
the conflict comes when a soldier-turned-traitor, an avenging brother, and a scorned ex-fiancée join forces in an attempt to kill Seb to get back at Dima. i honestly have no idea where the author was going with any of that. even if they successfully killed Seb, i'm not sure what the payout would have been. Katie, Seb's ex, was such a one-dimensional character and it was still weird to see her as part of the coup since she was sleeping with one of the offenders well before Seb ever got involved with Dima. it was just bizarre.
i did get a thrill from Seb using a blow torch on Katie because that's not one i see described very often in books like these. it was serving Hostel energy and i was into it because i'm nothing if not a horror movie girlie. Dima and Seb fuck in front of their captives and then again once they're all slaughtered, etc etc. they end up married and that's that on that. cheap entertainment, will never read again.

What a debut. This book was dark and gritty, and it brought us all the spice.

Seb has hit rock bottom, he has no money, he lives in a run down apartment with his girlfriend who he isn't sure he even likes anymore and he doesn't have a job! But this all changes when Seb gets a job at Starlight, a club owned by the Koslov brothers, and on Sebs first night, he attrcts the attention of Dima Koslov.
Dima is instantly taken by Seb, and he is determined to make him his no matter what it takes.
Dima is so possessive of Seb. He knows exactly what Seb needs and makes sure to give it to him, and WOW, the results are explosive.
I really enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting, and I can't wait for more from this author, and I'm really hoping we get Levs book.

He lost his job recently. He gets a new job at a bar run by disreputable people. He thinks he's straight but he's in for a bi awakening.
At his new job he catches the eye of one of the owners, Dima. Dima is 29 and pan or bi. Dima is instantly obsessed with Seb. He's intent on possessing and owning him from first glance. I wouldn't call it instal love, it's kind of a insta-own and instalust. He doggedly pursues Seb for a month or so before Seb gives in. But then a threat targets Seb and puts them in danger.
This was a decent story. I do like a possessive and unhinged MMC. And Seb was a feisty guy who wasn't going to roll over and give in easily to Dima. I liked that he talked back even though Dima was clearly a murderer. There were some good things going on in the book. There was some nice moments of humor.
There were a bunch of things though that I didn't love:
- The most annoying thing was the way the book was written sentence wise. You know how elementary school kids write simple sentences and basic thoughts? At times the book felt really juvenile and how it was written. (Update: just finished the second book in this series and I was happy to see book 2 didn't have this issue)
- It's out of character that Dima let Seb brush him off for over a month. Dima's personality is much too forceful for me to believe that he would have left Seb alone.
- At one point, they have sex in front of some homophobic people they're going to kill. While putting on the show, Dima used really degrading language to refer to Seb. When you use the same degrading terms that the homophobic assholes use, it's like you're degrading Seb yourself and agreeing with the homophobic assholes. So I don't think it came off the way the author intended it to, poor choice.
- Very unsafe sex. They don't use condoms, they don't talk about STDs or condom usage. They use the blood of another person who's portrayed as a skanky cheating s*** as lube. So unsafe.
Some notable moments:
"“D, you can’t do this, it isn’t normal. People get choices in relationships…unless I'm your prisoner?” I sigh, this is hopeless, so I decide to try and reason with him. “I need to go home and think. Look, I promise I’ll be in for work tonight, but I need some space. What happened last night was huge, not to mention it was with you. I need to process.” “Space? Fuck that. There is plenty of space here. You’re not leaving me. You belong here. I think you need reminding.”"
Ha to Dima threatening his brother for ogling Seb. "And off I trot, but also add an extra sway of the hips for Dima since his eyes are bound to be on my ass. They practically live on it, so may as well tease him and give a show when I can. “That’s a hot ass,” Lev mumbles. The mumble is followed by a sharp slap! “Shut the fuck up, Lev before I rip your eyes out,” Dima threatens."
"I’m about to move when the door opens and Zayn walks in. I release a sigh of relief only for Zayn to punch me in the gut. I collapse back on the floor gasping for air. Well, I think we have found the rat."

Tied To You by Syn Blackrose was one hell of a ride. From start to finish, it was a crazy, over-the-top story in the most entertaining of ways. It kept me on the edge of my seat throughout and I never knew what would happen next.
The dynamic between Seb and Dima was fascinating. The first interaction between our two MCs literally made my eyes pop out of my head. The things Dima said to Seb at that moment were simply scandalous and made me laugh. It set the tone for what would be a possessive relationship totally consumed by Dima's control.
I loved seeing how Seb resisted Dima's advances and how this plunged him into great inner conflict. In fact, I wish he'd resisted even longer, since Dima's hunt for Seb was the most interesting part of the story in my opinion. I'd have liked to delve deeper into both MCs’ emotions.
There was a lot of sexy time in Tied To You and I loved every bit of it. The scenes were as outrageous as the story.
It was a great debut for Syn Blackrose. It was short, but it packed a punch. Be sure to check out the trigger warnings if you have any, because there's some crazy, intense stuff in there.

The things Dima said to Seb at that moment were simply scandalous and made me laugh. It set the tone for what would be a possessive relationship totally consumed by Dima's control.
I loved seeing how Seb resisted Dima's advances and how this plunged him into great inner conflict. In fact, I wish he'd resisted even longer, since Dima's hunt for Seb was the most interesting part of the story in my opinion. I'd have liked to delve deeper into both MCs’ emotions.
There was a lot of sexy time in Tied To You and I loved every bit of it. The scenes were as outrageous as the story.
It was a great debut for Syn Blackrose. It was short, but it packed a punch. Be sure to check out the trigger warnings if you have any, because there's some crazy, intense stuff in there.

This book was a wild one indeed. A dark romance so if you don't like that, this won't be for you.
Dima was feral for Seb from the very beginning. Both his inner monologue and the things he said straight up were plenty proof of that fact. Seb was understandably resistant to Dima's straightforward approach. This being said, his attraction to Dima was also there.
The relationship between these two could be considered toxic in so many ways. Dima was possessive as fuck and his ways of getting Seb weren't normal in the slightest. Call me crazy but I was loving it. Seb isn't all that innocent either and that made these two quite a match.
This book was filled with smut and kink. Somehow, there was still room for little sweet moments depending on your standards on that front. While there wasn't a ton of plot between the spice there was SOME and what "some" there was is enjoyable if you like things dark.

I like that book, it was as dark as I was expecting, Dima is a f*cking obsessive character but Seb doesn’t let him have everything he wants from the get-go. Seb has his own strong personality, even if at first he is disturbed by Dima’s attention (for good reasons 🤣), in the end, he cannot resist against the dark side.
I loved the dynamic between the two, Seb is a fan of motorcycles so points for him and there are some kinks involved with them !!
Seb is desperate, since the death of his parents, his life is not right anymore, he’s living with his fiancée who spent all his money, to survive he has to find a new job !! And here he comes, now working at the bar of the famous Kosovo brothers’ cabaret, he has drawn the attention of one of them. Dima is obsessed with the new barmaid, he wants him and will do everything for it, he doesn’t care that he identifies as straight or that he has a girlfriend. Starts the battle of the will !!
Please note that if the MMC has a girlfriend, there is no cheating involved, Seb is too good for that. And be aware of all the triggers !
Also I loved Lev, I hope he will have a story !

I probably would have rated this 5 stars for the unhinged nature alone but I gotta say the actual writing was pretty stilted. It's like the author forgot how people actually speak (like with contractions lol). I had to force myself to ignore that and focus on the straight up insanity.

No. LOL. Just epically, fucking no. I can't with this. Like a quick draft of a horny teenager who's never written before. If internal dialogues and daydreaming could be a book, this is it. Cringey af. I laughed as I skip-read nearly half of it, but at some point I just couldn't take it anymore.
