Finnian Jack O’ Brien is off limits. To me, to Ronan, to Cian. None of us should want the boy with big bright eyes and a sassy tongue that we’re forced to protect.
Too bad we do.
Ronan denies it. Cian taunts him. I try to ignore his existence. Deep down I know that he needs a firm hand on his soft ass. But why do I want to be the one to give it to him?
He’s the boss's son, forbidden damn fruit, but everytime I see Jack I want to take what’s mine. Turns out so do Cian and Ronan. We’ll do whatever it takes to protect our boy. Even if we have to slaughter everyone who gets in our way.
Jack belongs to us .
Problems i s part of the Ruthless Daddies 2 multi-author collab and a complete standalone. Expect to find a bratty boy, A strict daddy, a soft daddy, a psycho daddy, all the freakin' steam and a guaranteed HEA. Want more deliciously morally gray Daddies and boys? Grab the whole series!
Brea Alepoú realized her dream was to write and tell stories after spending five years in college getting a degree. She has since been writing and letting her imagination free. She thought she would only write contemporary at first but soon found her love for making worlds. So now she writes it all. With her wild imagination, expect lots of different stories, from fairies ruling to vampires killing everyone, to the sweet loving between two men, passion between two fierce women, or the love of multiple partners. She believes that everyone deserves love even if not all of her characters get it right away. Love is passionate, hot, needy, confusing, painful, fulfilling, and all-consuming. (pnr, contemporary, fantasy, erotica, romance, shifter mpreg, & rh) There will be a book for everyone. Insanity is Contagious. Brea Alepoú
I love that this is set in the same universe as the Vitale Brothers! So, if you’ve been keeping up with my fave mafia family (which you totally should be btw!), you know that the war between the Vitales and the Triads is heating up. This book starts with the Irish mob needing to choose a side.
In order to keep his son (Jack) safe, Jack’s dad (the head of the Irish mob) sends him to Arizona with his three most trusted men, Ronan (Jack’s bodyguard), Finnian (his right hand man) and Cian (his reaper).
I didn't mean to be a horny nightmare, but it was hard when I was surrounded by three hot as fuck men. Did they all annoy me? Hell yeah. Were they all sexy daddy material? Also, yeah.
Ronan has been Jack’s bodyguard for years now, but has been fighting his feelings for Jack even though Jack relentlessly teases him with overly sexual flirting. As much as Ronan has wanted Jack, Jack wants Ronan to be his Daddy. Ronan refuses to act on his feelings though because of his loyalty to Jack’s dad.
Due to being forced to live together in such small quarters while in Arizona, lines are crossed and desires are acted upon.
I never thought having a taste of him would make me so addicted. I'd been perfectly fine watching him from afar, but now that I had Jack, there was no going back. He was mine. Ours.
Jack is a bit of a brat, but he is more capable than anyone thought. And the more time he spends with his men, the more they help him grow. Through some clever bargaining by Jack, Cian agrees to teach him to fight. Finnian helps teach him basic life skills and works out with him. Ronan nurtures his playful sweet side.
Ronan's sweetness, Finnian's sternness, Cian's wildness, all of it was so hot I could die and still be happy as fuck.
Cian is my favorite. He’s such a bad boy and dirty bird. Unlike the other guys who want to discuss and agree to everything, he will just go after what he wants. It’s super hot.
"Our boy needs to be stuffed with our cum till he can’t hold it anymore."
And the way Cian submits to Finn. Damnnn.
I wanted to watch Cian fall apart on Finn's cock while he was stuffed inside of me.
Each man brings something unique to the table and they each provide something special to Jack that he needs. These four make a great team. I could have happily read more of them.
All three of them stared at me like I was a high priced steak and they'd just starved for three days in a row. I drew my tongue across my lips and chuckled as they tracked the movement. My men. My daddies. I held them in the palm of my hand and I loved it.
*** I received an ARC of this book from the authors and this is my honest opinion. ***
I'm not quite sure what to do with this book. I liked it in parts ... I love Jack and I love Daddy Cian
I slammed Jack up against the wall before the thought had been processed. My brain had short-circuited leaving me with nothing but primal instinct. Fuck everything else, I wanted to bend Jack over and fuck him stupid. - this is Cian - absolutely fucking perfect 🥀🖤🥀
but I don't like Daddy Ronan and Daddy Finn very much. In terms of plot, it is quite unexciting, very predictable and not particularly original. But I had not expected it to be more, so far that's ok. What should make the book interesting is the development of the relationship between the boy and his three Daddies. It is fairly amusing in parts. The sexual escapades are hot and well done. But on the relationship side, this book is a poor example of polyamory. The constant bickering between the Daddies is very annoying. In the beginning they set up rules, but somehow no one sticks to them anyway and the whole thing feels less and less feasible and right.
Problems is a fun and entertaining forbidden romance between Jack and his bodyguards. Jack is a son of an Italian mobster and is in the middle of a war, therefore he needs constant supervision. Due to this need, Jack hides away with his three bodyguards, Cian, Ronan, and Finnian. They each have their own sense of possession and ownership over Jack, which creates a fun, unique, and primal dynamic between all.
Overall Problems is a great entry in this series where a bratty boy has not one, but three daddies and they will do anything to protect him.
*** I reviewed a complimentary copy of this story.***
same old story, just differents characters (but built as the same as the others)👀 around 70/80% we always have a fight with a kidnapping with these authors.. please be creative, i’m tired of reading the same story in each books they write 2,5 ⭐️
I saw a book with 3 daddies & a boy & I signed right up for the #ARC, I've read one like this before (different author) & gosh I'm so in, like couldn't get this fast enough. Even better that the 2 of the daddies fuck too, I was as into it as Jack! It's my favorite shit 😍. Devoured this in 6hrs!
A Dark Mafia MMMM age-gap Daddy-Dom romance with Jack (the mafia boss' bratty artistic son) & the men he wants - Ronan (his sweet bodyguard who's also a reader), Finnian (Boss' stern 2nd in command), Cian (the psycho assassin, how did I ended up liking his crazy?). They're all thrust together as a war looms & Jack's dad wants him protected. Tensions & Sparks ensue!! And HOT sexy times 🔥🔥.
The angst is low, relationship growth & character development is good to see. The kinky daddy bit is fire 😍🔥🔥. The action is in climax & great. Loved the connection to the Vitales, yay cameos!
Full Review soon, I need Tony's book soon!! Loved him in Benito's book 😍.
the Vitale brothers series is one of my all time favorites i'm so serious, i will sing their praises for those forever. this one didn't hit quite as hard but the formula is still here and i honestly loved it EVEN THO I HATE a harem/why choose situation. i carried through this enough to give a happy 3.5 stars for something that would normally get no higher than a 2 from me so i consider that a win!
While I had a few issues with this, I overall really enjoyed it. Jack was a good character, and was layered enough that it was easy to see why he needed all three of his “daddies.” Each of them provided something unique that the others couldn’t. At first, I only cared about the connection between Jack and Ronan, and for a while, would have preferred the story was just about them. As the novel progressed, I started to appreciate what the others were able to give to Jack, and especially loved the unhinged intensity between Jack and Cian. I was surprised, however, by how easily the men “shared” Jack, as it didn’t necessarily align with how their personalities came across. Nevertheless, I’m glad they found a way that works for them. I also loved the Vitale family references in this book, and with cameos from Benito and Enzo at the end, I’m hopeful we may see more from Jack and his men in the future.
FYI: THIS IS NOT A DARK BOOK - AT ALL. IT IS NOT MMMM - Blatant False advertising.
The word Daddy is used 189 times. The word Daddies is used 34 times.
So we get over 200 uses of Daddy all up.
To begin with these three PROFESSIONALS don’t notice Jack sneak out of the house they’ve filled with cameras and continually check 24/7. So Jack manages to go out and party with his three friends who share one daddy. Convenient set up for the Q&A about a foursome. *eye roll*
The are ONLY two chapters 21/22? where there’s some killing - they’re the IRISH MOB it means there’s gunna be blood since this is a mafia book-apparently. A dude is stabbed, a few are punched and shot. Ronan gouges some dudes eye out and breaks a few bones. And Jack hits some dudes with an iron bar.
Jack, an entitled brat who acts weak as fuck for 21 chapters suddenly beats up some dudes likes he’s been doing it since kindergarten and comes away unscathed. What a load of shit.
The entirety of the book is three guys fucking each other. Definitely NOT MMMM.
Ronan ONLY fucks/kisses Jack. No one else touches him but for a graze of knuckles on his thigh when Cian grabs jacks ass while he’s riding Ronan. It’s basically Jack and Ronan “finally” fucking and Ronan sharing him with Cian and Finn who also “finally” start fucking.
MMMM is when ALL FOUR MEN fuck/get fucked by each of the other three.
Other than a glimpse of affection between Ronan and Jack there is ZERO CHEMISTRY between these characters.
So many ridiculous spelling and grammar mistakes. A lot of repetitive sentences. An edit is required. The writing style is awful, and the misused words are annoying.
“Carefully I shifted to the left and felt something cool. I picked it up carefully.”
Then a couple sentences later:
“Carefully, I made my way to the door and gripped the knob.”
“My eyes swept over it, every hair on the back of my neck on edge.” On edge? You mean on end?
“I fully plan to breed you until your belly is full." The dumbest fucking line in any gay romance novel. Your dick is in his ass. Basic knowledge of the human body says this is not connected to his “belly”. 🤣🤣
The addition of the triad? Jack doesn’t speak or understand Chinese. Immediately he knows the Chinese Triad have taken him ONLY because he heard them SPEAK Chinese? There were no other signs they were triad? I call bullshit.
At the end there’s mention of Benito*gag* because he’s a dumb idiot. And Enzo- who Jack has “heard is odd”. Because it’s difficult for these authors to allude to autism without using words like “odd” and “weird”. Pathetic.
Also at the end, Daddy-the real one: Declan. Is blasé as fuck about his son being fucked by the three top men in his little mob. As fucking if.
The authors have attempted to incorporate three different daddy kinks into one book
Ronan is the soft daddy who gives Jack whatever he wants and has wanted Jack since he was 16. He buys Jack a video game console so that the authors can add - age play, middle - to their blurb/tags. We’re told he has a “monster cock”. He uses it twice i think in two very mediocre sex scenes.
Cian is not a daddy it makes no sense for Jack to call him one but whatever for the sake of the story. Cian is clearly into CNC, blood play, humiliation, and necrophilia but the authors are too afraid to write this, or do not know how. My guess is it was mentioned for shock value because nothing comes of it. Those things would have made for an interesting book. (Not by these authors) instead, Cian makes Jack cum a lot and makes him wear a skirt and bra. From memory he fucks Jack once or twice. Exciting? Not.
One star’s for Cian eating jacks ass while he tries to piss, 🤣because WTF? and one for Cian hiding in the cupboard. Apparently he’s a contortionist too. If someone else wrote a book about Cian’s character I’d read it. These two authors are simply not good enough.
Finn is random and his character doesn’t fit well. There’s no connection with the other three because he’s merely there as the uptight one. He makes Jack clean then spanks him a couple times and fucks him. He is Boring AF.
Loved it! So hot🔥 A boy and 3 daddies ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Very good story, couldn’t put the book down❤️ Sweet love story and lots of good steam 🔥🔥🔥 DP🔥🔥🔥 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Where do I start with “Problems” by Brea Alepou and Skyler Snow. WHERE!? First, I am obsessed with this duo.. they have created a universe I am FULLY invested in and obsessive over. Second, this was my first MMMM read and now honestly, I hate myself for not getting into that trope sooner! Third, the term “Daddy” has a new meaning for me now 😂 The men in this book are super sexy, super taboo, super dangerous, super Irish (I mean… swoon!), super possessive. All the things I need in my life.
Jack O’Brien is the son to the head of the Irish mob, home from college, desperate to get ready to eventually take over for his dad, and also, he has stolen the eyes of his bodyguard, Ronan. Ronan is like borderline obsessed with Jack and has been watching over him for years and years. He runs men away from Jack but never indulges in Jack’s pursuit of him. Ronan is true Daddy vibes before he is one of Jack’s daddies.. cuts his food, babies him, makes sure he’s happy and comfortable. One the other hand. Jack’s dad’s second in command, Finnian, is hard and rough around the edges. Doesn’t play games with Jack, makes him do things his way, punishes him for acting out. He was one of Jack’s destined Daddies before he even realized it. Cian is the deadly one. The one who gives ZERO effs and will kill you in a minute for crossing him or the family. When Jack pushes his buttons, Cian is quick to demand Jack get on his knees. When Jack has to run to Arizona to avoid a war with these three men, he comes out of it with three Daddies who give his something different and complete him.
BUT HOLD ON! This is not a fluffy love story. It’s dark, filthy, angsty, possessive, full out bloody. The sexual tension that floats between these three men is so palpable. It’s insanity. And they each take on their role as Daddy like almost immediately. They’re all different and Jack eats all of it up! Even the femme outfits that Cian gets him… which was the surprise of the book for me! 😂
ALSO! What I also love? This story is part of the Vitale universe I love so much! I LIVE for a cameo of Benito and Enzo. “Problems” had me sweating and wanting more of these men but it also was a good transition, FOR ME, into the 4th Vitale brothers book. My obsession really isnt okay… someone help me! 😄😄
Don't ask me why I read this book because I don't know. I was just curious I guess👩🏼🦯 I wanted to read something that was out of my comfort zone and this book definitely was. I'm not a fan of daddy kink and I favor relationships involving two people so it totally was. I have to say I didn't really like this book but it was entertaining...I suppose. It's not that I didn't like it for the tropes per se but for the way it was executed (which is my problem with these authors). However, this book made me understand two things, one is that it is confirmed that I am not a fan of the daddy kink, maybe in the bedroom yes but outside of it... yeah it is not for me and two is that I am certainly interested in read other books with polyamorous stories, as long as the feeling is equal between all the components and not that someone seems left out (as it seemed to me in this book, among other things) So I can say it was an interesting read as it was something new to me but other than that this story seemed nothing special to me, i mean, it wasn't that bad or anything, it just didn't work for me but I don't feel like giving a rating with stars because having a trope that I don't like it was quite obvious that it didn't drive me crazy as a book.
This was a wild ride to read that I throughly enjoyed it. It’s almost an offshoot from life as usual for these MCs, brought on by dangerous circumstances that ends up leading to so much more when they are isolated and primed to explore the attraction they feel.
Jack is young, protected, bratty and coddled and his father wants more for him than to takeover once he’s ready to give up the helm of the Irish Mafia. Cian, Finnian and Ronan have their own complicated relationships and pasts with each other having come up the ranks and are highly trusted by Jack’s father to take him away to a safe house in Arizona till things cool down. When Jack starts acting out things escalate quickly and discipline is a tipping point into a daddy dynamic with a smorgasbord of kinks being explored with all the MCs.
If you’re in the mood for something fast paced and super spicy this story which is a bit of a break in time that turns into more has its surprisingly sweet moments too.
Expect:
* Insta Lust * Pining * Age play * Pretty skirts and lingerie * Kink: daddy kink, praise kink, humiliation kink, O-control, spanking, domestic discipline, bondage, * MMMM * Irish Mafia * Forbidden themes * Age gap * Forced proximity * Piercings
Problems is part of the Ruthless Daddies 2 multi-author collab and a complete standalone with an HEA and I definitely recommend reading the list of tropes and content warnings the authors have shared if you need to.
I loved how the authors expand the narrative mid way to shape the attraction that existed between all the MCs has been long standing and there has been so much pining adding depth to the overall fun read. They also take the time to show the pasts of all of them hence providing layers and nuance to start getting invested in these characters. I wish the story had taken more time with all of them and their relationship dynamics, I would love to know how the roles set up beyond their chemistry and kinks with Jack and even with Finnian and Cian and if either of them have any relationship beyond the daddy dynamic (even friendship) with Ronan.
These are characters that were well developed and I truly felt invested in them.I know this is a stand-alone but it seems to me to be a great starting point to explore all the links that were established and I for one would love to read more. Also Cian is such an interesting character with so many dichotomies and a bit of a sociopathic edge - I would love to see more of what’s driving him. For me, even though the authors say it’s an HEA and it is the way it ties up in the end, it can be more of an HFN with loads still to discover about these characters and where they go from here. Hint Hint —- how about a series:) Each of the dynamics with Jack and his 3 daddies is clearly defined. Finnian is edgy, in control and a disciplinarian. Cian is a wild card who is into doing whatever pleases him whenever burying his sensitive emotional side under a layer of chaos. Ronan and Jack have the longest relationship with pining on both sides and he is a caretaker daddy only wanting Jack happy and healthy. Jack himself has a strong character arc once the dynamic is established breaking old patterns and coping mechanisms to go after the future he wants and he’s willing to work for it.
CW: Warning:mature content, mafia themed violence, and torture, grey MCs, murder, off page in the past loss of a parent
I have never read a MMMM before and I got to say it was really good. I loved the dynamics between them all. We have Finnian the leader, who is strict and orderly. Ronan the caretaker, who is a giant sweet softee. And Cian the video tech Reaper who is a crazy nut job. They all protect and care for Jack the son of the leader of the Irish mob, during a critical time. Jacks dad has not chosen sides yet so he wants Finnian, Cian, and Ronan to take jack away in hidding. They get up to all kinds of stuff and let me just say the spicy scenes were fire.I also really liked the chemistry between Finnian and Cian so much. It was the perfect build up to a great HEA all around. Note: there is some gross eyeball stuff and killing.( sorry I'm trying not to spoil it.) I mean what do you expect with mafia. Lots of 🔥🔥🔥🔥and 😬😬😬
Usually I enjoy this duo’s work but this didn’t work for me.
The characters were not fleshed out , some were annoying and some were downright unlikeable. The story was superficial , pacing was all over the place and the sexy times (that should’ve gotten some stars) were just disjointed.
To be frank, the one star was for the cameos from the Vitale Brothers and the boys& Elio from “Savage” which brought some life back into this.
So yeah, I’ll try just try another book of of theirs … this just wasn’t it.
I didn't like it, I found the writing style awful it read like badly written fanfiction. The book was also just a car crash, super vague plots that only mattered every few chapters and just generally all over the place. Also the character of Cian was too weird for my liking he ruined the majority of the book in my opinion.
Man I'm so embarrassed for reading this in the first place. Cringe aside, there's an insane amount of spelling mistakes, punctuation mistakes, words that were used in the wrong context. It's not like i went into this expecting great quality but damn 😭 Also nothing happens for like 80% of the story
5 stars 🌟 also, english is not my first language, so I apologize for any mistakes🙏💕
I have read a couple of books by Skyler Snow, but this was my first experience with Brea Alepoú, also my first polyamory romance novel. The idea of more than two people forming a relationship never appealed to me. But as my past experiences with Skyler Snow were very enjoyable, I thought to give this book a try. Let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed 🥺💕 I would still stir clear of this genre unless it's by these two authors😁
My thoughts about each character:
Jack: he could be sweet and vulnerable, but he also knew how to be strong. I loved that Jack knew how to use his charmes to control his daddies. I could see the potential in him to be a great leader and was so glad that his father got to see that too.
Cian: At first he appeared as a shallow character who was just looking for a good time, but as we went further into the story we got to know him a little better and he just stole my heart. He is not good with emotions and doesn't know how to act around them because he never received them. He was never loved before. His chemistry with Finn warmed my heart and the way he got softer with Jack as the story progressed and the way he showed more emotions and even let himself be vulnerable briefly with Jack and Finn just melted my heart.
Finn: he would help Jack become a great leader someday, no doubt. I don't have much to say about him but the way he kept everyone in this little family in line was very much needed, and I don't think this could have worked without his leadership.
Ronan: He was my least favorite character TBH. I felt like they could do without him. This feeling just comes from me not liking softies🤣 but in all honesty I know Jack needed him and his kindness. He was that kind of man you could count on to always support you emotionally. He was the one to give you a hug to recharge you .. and he wasn't that soft, I know he would raise hell on anyone who hurts his boy.
All in all, it was a very good read for a person like me who never read a polyamory. It wasn't very overwhelming or too much to accept. It was just the right amount of unconventional for me to wrap my head around it 😁
This was a quick and fantastical read. You definitely have to take a step outside of reality while reading, but I quite enjoyed this one. Jack and his men get up to all kinds of steamy goodness.
Of the three, Cian, Finn and Ronan, none had everything I liked in an MC, but put together, I liked the parts that equaled the whole. They each gave Jack something different and strengthened the man Jack already was. They somehow made this sexy little unit.
Unlike the Vitale Brothers I just read this one for the 'situational romance' (AKA: Smut only). I am not at all a fan of harem/why choose/poly in books I read for plot. This was good because it was only sex and kept me entertained enough. I won't read any others in this series probably, but hopefully reading this will keep my desire for mafia gays at bay until the next Vitale book.
I had trouble connecting to the characters and their story. I rarely have a problem with that, but I feel like a lot of their feelings and thoughts were left out. And honestly, I'm having a tough time connecting with Cian. Sure, he seems a little sociopathic. But there could have been a backstory, or some more chapters from his POV.
Overall, it's an alright story, but it lacked something. I can't really put my finger on it, but it did.
3.5 stars. I picked this book up after reading another all male RH book by Brea Alepou that I absolutely loved. I saw this was a story about a boy and three Daddies and got incredibly exciting about the possibilities of this story. This one started out fantastic but unfortunately it didn’t continue that way for me. Overall I did still end up enjoying the story.
Jack was absolutely a bratty boy and he needed a Daddy for him to realize his full potential. In this case he needed three! Daddy Finnan for his discipline, Daddy Ronan for his love and care and Daddy Cian who let him just be himself and didn’t ask anything more of him.
I loved Jack, Finnan and Ronan but Cian was just a bit too out there for me. I don’t know if I didn’t enjoy his craziness and humiliating punishments just because the other three weren’t crazy and it just didn’t seem to fit or what but it just didn’t fully work for me.
Near the end of the book some very exciting things happened and it was awesome to see Jack living up to the family business. I am definitely still interested in reading other books by these authors and hope I can find another one that I absolutely love.
