- Vas the Unstable's name and spiky blonde hair are similar to Vash the Stampede from the manga series Trigun.
- Prior to patch 3.2.0, Vas was one of only two NPCs wearing the tabard of the Silver Covenant (Vereesa Windrunner was the other).
- In the Wrath of the Lich King beta, he wore a 7th Legion tabard instead.
- Vas is taller than most other high elves.
