Tannos was a mage sent by Theocritus to Westfall with the Hand of Azora in order to hide him from the sight of the Dark Riders who were searching after artifacts. When Karlain and Revil Kost found him, Tannos was helping Westfall's militia against the Defias Brotherhood at Gold Coast Quarry. After the Brotherhood was defeated, the Dark Riders appeared and cut Tannos's head and hand off, taking the Hand of Azora with them.^[1]

• His name and gauntlet are a reference to Thanos from Marvel Comics, who wore the Infinity Gauntlet.
