Chromatic Prototype is one of the adds on the Nefarian fight in Blackwing Descent. It will stand in place and constantly try to cast Blast Nova, which can be interrupted.

Blast Nova — Deals 13050 to 16950 Fire damage to all enemies every 2 seconds for 30 seconds. Interruptable.
