Giltine was a mage known for his masterful transformations of many Aretuza students.
Biography[]
Giltine had all the knowledge necessary to change the appearance of every graduating sorceress into beautiful women, making sure to remove any imperfections that they may have since sorceresses were all but required to look impeccably beautiful by Northern standards.
When Yennefer was chosen to go to Aedirn as royal advisor to King Virfuril, Giltine gave her a test, making it no secret that he considered her body a special challenge for his abilities, but he assured her that he could turn any woman into a work of art.
However, when Yennefer's assigned kingdom got changed at the last minute to Nilfgaard due to her elven blood being brought to light, she refused to accept this and as such, missed the original time window to be transformed by Giltine. When she then decided she'd take matters into her own hands, she visited Giltine the night of the ball where the graduating sorceresses were being introduced to their assigned kingdom's rulers, and demanded that he make her beautiful. Giltine objected that he didn't have time to prepare the herbs for the anesthesia with the ball going on now, but Yennefer insisted that he do it right then, if necessary, while she was fully conscious.
Before the procedure, Yennefer asked Giltine to leave her eyes and vein scars. He then performed magical surgery on her uterus and used it to cure her crooked back and distorted jaw as well as other cosmetic changes. Thanks to his methods, Yennefer became a beautiful sorceress, but this transformation came at a high price of removing her ability to ever have biological children.
