The Giant Ladybugs are magical creatures introduced in Season 3.

Overview[]

The Giant Ladybugs are ladybugs which reside in Linphea. Where technology is forbidden, they are used for transport. They are intelligent as they can obey any commands.

Appearance[]

They have a red body with black spots, and yellow beady eyes.

Season 3[]

When the Winx come to Linphea, in order to find a way to help Faragonda, they must use the Giant Ladybug as means of transport. One of them takes Miele back home, the rest take the Winx to the Sage. After a while, Flora says they have to continue on foot because the ladybugs do not like going near sticky vines.

Season 6[]

The ladybugs return in this season as they take the Winx to Linphea College.

Season 7[]

They were first seen in "Adventure on Lynphea", when Miele was riding one of them.

Later, in the next episode, the Winx and Miele were seen riding them in a ladybug race.

The Winx goes to Linphea to see the famous race on the giant ladybugs. Last year, Flora was the champion of this competition, and now her little sister, Miele, is going to fight for this title.

Trivia[]

• On the official website, Flora calls them "Ladybirds", which may be a blend of "ladybug" and "bird".
