The White Sands rocket range is the largest military installation in the United States. It's located in New Mexico. White Sands is also famous as the site the alien Dr. Tachyon landed in August of 1946, when he arrived on Earth. Tachyon remained there for days, being interrogated by US Army Intelligence.
