Nar-Sheptha was a 6th generation Assamite Sorcerer of great renown until she died and became an incorporeal guardian to the Great Library of Alamut.
Biography[]
The Babylonian princess Nar-Sheptha was the first Cainite to conduct Dur-An-Ki studies in harnessing the powers of lightning. She was the curator the Great Library of Alamut for three centuries until she met Final Death while attempting to tame a storm spirit, leaving only a pile of 900 years old ashes infused into the sandstone of the floor.
However, her soul did not rest, for the spirit had infused her essence into the very air above Alamut. It was not until a young Assamite Sorcerer named Sarah Schneier contacted her in 1999, that she was offered a chance to escape the limbo in which she was trapped. Schneier bound Nar-Sheptha's essence into CD-ROMs that accommodate the whole content of the Great Library.
Such disks serve as the main link of the Schismatics to the ancient tomes in Alamut and Nar-Sheptha protects them with all her might. However, she is unwilling to hurt other Assamites, a fact that the Loyalists have exploited when they stole eight sets of the disks.
Nar-Sheptha recognizes that, because she is now irrevocably bound to the disks, their destruction is hers as well. Thus, she retaliates with her full strength against any attempt to harm a set. She is also known to hunt down and "chastise" Schismatics who are careless enough to allow "her" disks to fall into the wrong hands.
Appearance[]
A swirling cloud of blood droplets that occasionally manifests in an approximately humanoid shape. When Nar-Sheptha speaks, it does so through telepathic contact rather than actual vocalization. Its mental "voice" sounds like that of the most feared woman in the listener’s life.
Character Sheet[]
- NOTE: Nar-Sheptha was a sixth generation Assamite sorcerer at the time of her discorporation. Her current form allows her access to little of this power with the exception of her knowledge of blood magic. She is immune to non-aggravated physical damage save for area effects. She is immune to Dominate, Presence, and blood bonds, though she is susceptible to Disciplines and blood magic effects that deal with spirits, such as Suleiman's Laws (also known as the Path of Spirit Manipulation). She still has the mentality of a vampire and thus is capable of Frenzying. She cannot make physical attacks.
