Dominic Chelemey is a Pure werewolf from Philadelphia's Center City.
Overview[]
Quote: "Come in. T-shirts are in the back, bowls in the glass case over there, and if you need any spiritual advice I'm your man, man."
Background:[]
Dominic first moved into the city shortly after the Fairmount Slaughter. He watched the situation from the suburbs, and seized the opportunity to slip past his lesser cousins to get a foothold within the city. Dominic set up shop in the trendy and open-minded areas of Center City, running a head shop with an occult flavor. Already encouraging two generations of university kids to embrace his spiritual, drop-out lifestyle. He's well aware of the newfound competition in that Rasa woman, but he's not particularly worried about her or her kin. In fact he finds them quite amusing, playing with the spirits the way they do. The local spirits are out of control and while he doesn't know entirely why, that suits Dominic just fine. He fans the flames to keep hunters and other werewolves at each others' throats.
Several of Dominic's customers happen to be hunters who have no idea they are walking into the wolf's den. In fact, he has proven particularly helpful on the subject of how to fight werewolves. The kindly old man presents himself as a down to earth, non-confrontational hippie type. If it wasn't for his sometimes accurate information most would blow him off as a harmless old kook. Still, even a broken clock is right twice a day, they think. Dominic is a literal wolf in sheep's clothing and hopes to keep the hunters and werewolves at war until both sides weaken enough to whistle up the rest of his tribesmen and packmates in the outlying countries.
Meanwhile, his pack chomps at the bit, not sure how either group could get much weaker, but Dominic is an old wolf and preaches patience. He knows the whole city stands on the precipice, hut if they move too quickly, they have as much chance to out all of their enemies on the same side. At least that's whet he tells them; truth be told, he's too old for war, and hopes by sitting idle the situation will take care of itself.
Appearance:[]
Dominic is getting on in years enough to be an old wolf, but he looks a young and fit 40 if he's a day. He's a scruffy old-gray-haired hippie with sharp blue eyes and an overlarge grin. When he needs it, the predator is always there; like an optical illusion the wolf comes to the fore readily as the grizzled old outdoorsman who smoked a little too much during his formative years.
Despite the sometimes sinister edge around him, he has found a way to pass off such weird behavior as being too burnt out and absent minded to catch himself staring and the like. And it works: his avuncular appearance coupled with a deep melodious voice put most of his customers at ease despite momentary lapses.
