The Baroness von Nightime, or simply known as The Baroness, is the redeemed central antagonist of the 2021 Disney based fanfilm Hans, and she is set to return as a supporting protagonist in the sequel Hans: The Tale of Brotherhood.

She is the grandmother of Elsa and Anna, the mother of Queen Iduna and King Angarr, and more notably the wife of the sociopathic King Runeard. After the death of her husband, she was exiled from Arendelle and the only one who still cared for her was Hans' mother. However, when the two had a rough argument, she used her ice powers by mistake, and at some point she made an alliance with Bullseye in order to escape justice and conquer Norhtuldra.

She is portrayed by Elizabeth Mitchell.

Past[]

The Baroness von Nightime used to be the good friend of Hans' mother. The two were very loyal to one another and they did everything together. Even after Nightime was exiled from Arendelle, Hans' mother went with her as a friend and protected her in the woods.

One day came, and the two of them had a rough argument. Thereafter, the enraged Baroness used her ice powers with no control, and she by mistake kills her only friend, thus covering up her crimes by blaming King Westeguard for the incident. Besides this, she also used to live happily with King Runeard, thus not knowing the truth about her husband's lies. After Runeard was killed, The Baroness teams up with High Chancellor Peterson and Bullseye, who is secretly a warmonger with plans to conquer the world by freezing it with a magical megaweapon called the blizzard box.

The Baroness is also ordered by Bullseye to kill Elsa when she was just a child. However, Elsa escapes from her wrath and continues her life without The Baroness.

Begginings[]

Baroness von Nightime and Bullseye later go to a meeting with their superior High Chancellor Peterson. The Baroness reveals herself to be one of the traitors, and Bullseye kills Peterson as he is the second traitor for The United Empire. After that, von Nightime asks Bullseye if he is ready for the real fun. The Baroness later finds Hans and Elsa in the woods and attempts to kill Hans by causing some ice shards to fall on him from above. However, Anna and Hans' brother Caleb manage to rescue Hans and Elsa, before the protagonists escape from The Baroness and Bullseye.

The Baroness is later called in by Bullseye, who introduces her to their new ally and te fearsome mercenary for hire Kristoff.

Kristoff asks her for 1 million gold, but due to the fact that she did not want to spend that much money, she quickly developed rivalry with Kristoff.

The Baroness later assists Bullseye with his plans to find the blizzard box and rule the world by force. She believes that if she does so, he will help her take over Northuldra as an act of vengeance.

The two of them eventually find the weapon and imprison Elsa and Anna so they won't interfear. The Baroness is later present in the war between Bullseye and his forces against Hans and the miliary force of Arendelle.

Bullseye kills Caleb during the battle, thus causing Hans to surrender to Bullseye's power. The Baroness and Bullseye then imprison Hans. While the protagonists are all imprisoned, The Baroness reveals her intentions of conquering Northuldra to Anna, thus implying that because of them her bond with the royal family is ruined. However, while this happens, Bullseye is manipulated by Kristoff into double crossing von Nightime and even into killing her for her uselessness.

Redemption[]

Bullseye then activates the blizzard box and he goes to meet with The Baroness. During their meeting, Bullseye revaled that he is planning to betray her for Kristoff, as he never planned to let her rule Northuldra. The Baroness then realizes the truth and promises to end Bullseye's reign of terror and also put an end to Kristoff for being involved.
