Claudius Blossom is a supporting antagonist in the second and third seasons of the CW Soap Opera series Riverdale. He is the long-lost twin brother of Clifford Blossom and the uncle of Jason and Cheryl Blossom.
He was portrayed by Barclay Hope, who also played his brother Clifford.
Personality[]
At first, Claudius seems to be considerably nicer and gentler than his twin brother. He acts genuinely warm and friendly. However, this is soon revealed to be an act, and Claudius is shown to be no better than his brother. He tries to kill his own mother (just like how Clifford murdered his own son), and in the end, Claudius plans to run drugs through the prison in Riverdale. As Penny describes, "Like brother, like brother."
Biography[]
Season 2[]
Claudius first appears during Clifford's will reading. Cheryl is shocked to the point where she faints, and everyone else are shown to be shocked to a high extent, as Claudius looks completely identical to Clifford (who recently hanged himself). After Cheryl recovers, it is revealed that Claudius is the long-lost twin brother of Clifford. He ran away from home when Clifford threatened him at the age of fourteen. Although this was cleared up, people still feel like seeing a ghost when they see him nevertheless.
Later, Claudius and Penelope hatch a plan to murder Nana Rose. They shove her down a flight of stairs, but unfortunately for them, she survives. Later, Cheryl finds out that Hiram Lodge is holding a secret meeting with Claudius and Penelope. Towards the end of the second season, Hiram calls a meeting at the White Wyrm with all of his accomplices. Penelope asks for a brothel, while Claudius prepares to run a drug business.
Season 3[]
Claudius works with Hiram Lodge and runs a drug dealing operation in the Sisters of Quiet Mercy. Both of them are working for higher up that is the Gargoyle King who is controlling the town.
