Hanzo Hasashi, better known as Scorpion, is the main protagonist of the Mortal Kombat Legends series. He is titular main protagonist of the 2020 direct-to-DVD animated movie Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge, one of the two main protagonists (Along with Liu Kang) of the 2021 sequel, Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms, and a major protagonist of the 2022 film, Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind. He was once the grandmaster of the Shirai Ryu clan until the entire clan and his family were killed by "Sub-Zero" and the Lin Kuei clan and now seeks revenge for their murder. He is also the minion turned archenemy of Quan Chi.
He was voiced by Patrick Seitz who also voices his mainstream counterpart.

Scorpion's Revenge[]
- He is then resurrected in the Neatherrealm as is being tortured by the demon Moloch. Hanzo is able to escape and fights his way through several demons and eventually reaches Quan Chi, demanding to speak with him.
- Hanzo gets offered by Quan Chi to enter the tournament to exact his revenge on Sub-Zero. Hanzo agrees, now dubbing himself "Scorpion".
- Scorpion first attempts to steal Shinnok's amulet. But then Raiden appears and attempts to persuade Scorpion to not steal the amulet telling. Scorpion tells him he has no choice but to serve Quan Chi but Raiden says that he always had a choice convincing Scorpion to stop.
- Until he runs into Sub-Zero, Sub-Zero not knowing what's going on tries to walk away but an enraged Scorpion tackles him off a bridge into a spike pit, impaling them both and killing Sub-Zero. After that Quan Chi appears and tells Scorpion that he was the person really responsible for the massacre of his clan and family and that Sub-Zero had no part in it. This Enrages Scorpion more and he removes himself from the spike and plans to exact his revenge.
- Upon Shang Tsung’s orders for him to kill Liu Kang, he tricked the sorcerer and instead lost on purpose to Liu Kang, so that Earthrealm is proclaimed the winner.
- He fought and killed Quan Chi, fully avenging his family and clan.
Battle of the Realms[]
- After seeing a vision of his family burning, Scorpion wakes up again in the Nether, surrounded by demons and approached by Shinnok. The evil god reveals to him that the key to merge with his soul when he died on the island, thus making him the only person who can open the Temple of Elements.
- When Shinnok offered him a chance to join the dark side, he refused. Instead, he teleported back to Earthrealm to warn Raiden about Shinnok.
- Raiden wanted Scorpion to prevent Shinnok from touching the amulet by all necessary, to which he obliged.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He falls the heinous standarts compared to other MK Legends villains.
- He saved Sub-Zero (Kuai Liang) from the Lin Kuei cyborgs.
- He teamed up with Sub-Zero, Liu Kang and other Earthrealmers, in the fight against Shinnok and his army, to which they are successful in.
- In Scorpion’s Revenge, he started off to be a full-on antihero, was arrogant, he was nowhere close to being an NPG. In the sequel, he subverted all of these qualities and instead, understood how the desire of vengeance can corrupt you, thus transforming him from a selfish vigilante to a true protector of Earthrealm.
- He is lethal in combat. However, most of the enemies he fights are mindless demons, cyborgs, black dragon soldiers, Quan Chi and Bi-Han (he later felt remorse as he was misguided by Quan Chi). Thus, this is a minor prevention.
