The E-001, also known as "Eveline" was a bioweapon which took the form of a young girl and the main antagonist of the 2017 survival horror video game Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, a posthumous antagonist in Resident Evil Village, and the secondary antagonist in its DLC, Shadows of Rose.
Appearing as a young girl, Eveline used this as a way to invade the Baker Home and take control of them, with the family seeing her as a lost child. Her second form is an old comatose woman, which she uses to spy on people. However, her true form is a giant snake-like creature made entirely form fungus and Mold.
She was a B.O.W created by Mother Miranda and The Connections, created by Miranda to use as a vessel to revive her daughter Eva. The attempt failed due to Eveline's unhealthy obsession with having a family and wanting to be loved and cared for, being neglected by the people experimenting on her, causing her to act violently and unstable. To this end, after she destroyed the ship, she was being transported on, she rewarded her rescuer Jack Baker by infecting him and his family with her mold powers. She then used her surrogate mother Mia to write the letter that lured her husband and main protagonist, Ethan Winters, to Dulvey to force him into becoming her father.
Eveline was ultimately killed by Ethan using a gun loaded with anti-toxen with the help of BSAA, though some piece of her remained in Ethan's psyche due to his connection with the mold. Her consciousness preserved within a fragment of the Black God supercolony would later face off against Ethan's daughter Rose, although Rose would escape with the help of Ethan himself, whose consciousness had survived within the Black God.
She was voiced by Sumire Morohoshi in the Japanese version, and by Paula Rhodes in the English version. Paula also voices Angie.
Her Evil Ranking[]
Her Villainous Deeds[]
Resident Evil 7[]
- Escaped containment and killed everyone within the Anabella as well as infecting them with the Mold.
- Killed Alan after he called a little b*tch and then infected Mia.
- After being found and rescued by the Bakers, she infected them with the Mold and turned them into serial-killers who would catch and cannibalize anyone entering Duvley. She's to blame for:
- Jack being extremely violent with his family such as cutting off Lucas' hand and attempting to drown Marguerite, chopping off a deputy's head with a shovel, killing, infecting and reviving Ethan, attacking him with a car and a chainsaw, and kidnapping an infected Zoe in the End of Zoe DLC.
- While she does have Jack give Ethan a med juice to fix his leg with Jakc cuts it off, this seems to be more so she could keep him suffer.
- Marguerite being an insect-obsessed maniac who is as agressive and violent as Jack, and trying to kill Ethan too by turning into a giant crooked monster.
- Lucas, even if he was already an asshole who managed to cut himself away from Eveline's control, she's still responsible for him being able to kidnapp people like Clancy and make them play twisted and deadly Saw-like games, as well as burning Clancy alive, and killing 3 of Chris Redfield's soldiers by exploding their heads and decapitating them.
- Mia, who, against her will, attacked Ethan, stabbed him, stuck his hand on the wall with a screwdriver and then chopped it off with a chainsaw.
- Like if it wasn't enough, she also taunts and mentally tortures her victims through hallucinations.
- What makes it worse is that the Bakers were geniunely nice people who offered her a shelter and she turned them into being part of her "family" as a way of "thanking" them.
- She takes Ethan away from Mia using the Mold, taunts Mia as she explores the wrecked ship by showing her past to her, and then tries to stop her when she tries to free Ethan.
- After Ethan injected her the serum to kill her, she started mutating into a gigantic monstrous form as her final attempt to kill him.
- She ends up infecting Zoe in End of Zoe after her death and posthumously has Jack kidnnap her from Joe.
- If Ethan chooses to cure Zoe instead of Mia, Eveline will infect her netherless and seemingly managed to kill her.
- When Mia rescues Ethan from the Mold (while being still infected, since Ethan cured Zoe instead), Eveline will has her attempt to kill Ethan again only for Mia getting impaled by Ethan on a metal bar.
Resident Evil Village & Shadows of Rose[]
- When Ethan wakes up and finds her in the Megamycete after dying at the hands of Mother Miranda, she tells him that he died by Jack and then starts taunting him.
- She joined the Megamycete cell where Miranda's mind found refuge, and started bothering within her plans, while also having taken over House Benneviento.
- When Rose arrives at the house, she psychologically tortures her with her past, and tries to make her understand no one loves her.
- She starts a cruel game of Hide & Seek where she has multiple dolls and giant Miannequins looking after Rose and trying to kill her.
- When Rose eventually deflects from Eveline, she appears and tries to kill her by herself before Ethan stops her.
Why Doesn't She Stand Out?[]
- She's tragic for being a bioweapon made specifically to be a childish little girl who needs a family.
- She fails the massive Resident Evil heinous standards, as she has only a kill count in the hundreds while her creator Miranda but also Heinsenberg, Wesker, Spencer, Ashford, and even Lady Dimitrescu killed thousands to millions.
- She has moral agency issues for being a bioweapon developed specifically to be what she is.
- She has some insecurities in Shadows of Rose, where she thinks Ethan and Mia are abandoning her for Rose and leaving her alone.
