Lucky Star: Halloween Magic is a platform game featuring the 4 main Lucky Star characters from the anime developed by Azumanga Interactive and published by Bandai Namco Games.

In the Bandai CD, and Bandai CD Revolution versions, the songs used are "Dancin'" for the title screen, and "A Love Affair" for the end credits. Both songs are from the record album Magical by Junko Ohashi. The Bandai Extreme, and PocketTurbo Plus versions use 16-bit renditions of the songs without lyrics.

Story[]

While Konata, Kagami, Tsukasa, and Miyuki were trick or treating on Halloween, they noticed a haunted house that's home to a witch. They go inside, but then were locked in. The witch tells them they will never get out of the house unless they figure a way out by finding the exit. A fairy comes in to give them magic powers that can help them get though the levels.

At the end, the girls find the exit, and defeat the witch. And they go back home with their treats.

Gameplay[]

You can play as Konata Izumi, Kagami Hiiragi, Tsukasa Hiiragi, or Miyuki Takara 1 or 2 players. Each character has their own magic powers they use to kill enemies and defeat bosses:

  • Konata uses a baseball bat she swings and throws.
  • Kagami uses electrical balls she throws.
  • Tsukasa uses cat scratching waves which shoots out when she swipes out her cat paws.
  • Miyuki uses a wand that shoots stats.

There are 20 levels in the game, each level is 2 acts with a boss at the end of the 2nd act. The goal is to find 3 hidden keys that can be found in chests. But you have a timer which is 10 min. which will cost you a life. So you have to find the keys before time runs out. The game has a save feature so you can save where you left off.

In certain levels, some of the supporting characters from the anime appear as helpers to help you on areas where you are stuck at.
