In anime, Selvaria's plot is roughly the same as in the original game, playing one of the main antagonists in the story. The most noticeable difference between the anime and the game is her death, where in the anime, her death scene occurred earlier than in the game, where she self-destructs after being defeated by Alicia.
In the final battle, Selvaria and Alicia both launched a full-strength thrust, and after the smoke from the impact cleared, Selvaria fell to her knees, defeated. Alicia emerged victorious. Selvaria pressed her bloody abdomen and asked Alicia to end her life. Alicia refused it and even tried to encourage Selvaria to live on. Selvaria expressed that she had lost her value the moment she lost the battle. She slowly stood up, moved her hand away from her wound, revealing a severe injury, with a large chunk of flesh torn from her left abdomen, exposing her ribs and intestines, a fatal wound. She gathered her strength and sacrificed her own life to unleash a self explode attack, killing the nearby Gallian Army.
