Tank Man is a member of the Bloodshot Squad and a former World War II soldier turned into a nanite-fueled killing machine by Project Rising Spirit. Since Bloodshot U.S.A., Tank Man has been under the command of G.A.T.E..

History[]

Winston Grover was a young Jewish man who joined the American army during World War II. Leaving his life and one true love behind, he was roped into a program led by the mysterious Project Rising Spirit. His time with the Project led him to be transformed into a super-soldier, enhanced and kept alive by drugs and hydraulics, codenamed "Tank Man" and "Bloodshot". This process came with the side effect of any memories of his life before the Project being erased, even his own name. Tank Man fought with a platoon named the "Crazy Crew" in Germany, as well as a prototype of the team that would come to be known as "Unity", until he was put on ice and preserved after the war, likely in no small part due to the absolute failure of his Unity squad.

Decades later, when Project Rising Spirit sought to test their modern capabilities, they revived Tank Man and several other former Bloodshots, and enhanced them with modern nanite technologies. After being used as a test subject alongside other members of the Bloodshot Squad, Tank Man managed to escape PRS custody alongside the Squad and the modern Bloodshot. In the modern era, Tank Man and the Squad began working with the global organization known as G.A.T.E., with the organization even managing to locate Winston's personnel file from when he was recruited. This allowed Tank Man to get some semblance of closure with the life he had lost, and find his own path in the 21st century.

Quotes[]

Quote1 Dear Hannah, I promised you a life. That we would get married and grow old together. That I would come back...But that would be a lie. I signed up for a secret mission. Something that will help put an end to this war. I'm so sorry. I just needed to make sure no army on this Earth would ever take you away. I needed you to be safe no matter what the cost. Even if it means the man you knew has to die. I love you. For always. For forever. -Winston Quote2
