Count Dragov was set to be a major antagonist in the unreleased fifth season of LEGO Nexo Knights series. He used to be a respected member of the Wizards' Council who proposed new bold idea of modifying magic, but was betrayed by one of his colleagues, leaving him thirsting for vengeance, which eventually led to him forming an alliance with the arch-necromancer Monstrox.

Biography[]

Past[]

About 200 years prior to the events of the series, Dragov was one of the members of the Wizards' Council, alongside Merlok, his sister Wanda, and the arch-necromancer Monstrox. He also had two children, magicians like him. Back when the Council was cataloguing magic across the kingdom of Knighton, he proposed the concept of "technomancy", a hybrid of technology and magic, to be used. Most members of the Council praised his ideas, but Monstrox, who had plans to take over the kingdom, disagreed with them and decided to ruin Dragov's plans. He disguised himself as Merlok using a spell, assaulted him and his children and stripped them of their powers, turning them into "powerless vampire abominations".

Coming of the Technomancer[]

After reviving Monstrox in form of a digital virus, Wanda, now going by the name "Ruina Stoneheart", decided to seek assistance from Dragov. She and Monstrox found his castle and awakened the count from his sleep in the coffin. Monstrox offered the vampire, who still believed Merlok to be responsible for his misery, a chance at getting revenge on the wizard, and he agreed. Monstrox then turned Dragov into a cyborg, before doing the same to his children.

Later, Monstrox, Ruina, Dragov and his children, accompanied by Stone Monsters, ambushed the Nexo Knights and Merlok 2.0. The vampires attacked the wizard, tearing down his robotic body and draining him of his Nexo Powers, the existence of which led Dragov to believe that Merlok stole his ideas. Seeing that defeat was imminent, Merlok cast a spell that dissolved him into seven Merlok Powers. Having lost Merlok, the Nexo Knights were forced to retreat, leaving the villains to gloat in their victory.

Trivia[]

  • According to Tommy Andreasen's notes for the Coming of the Technomancer script, the truth about Monstrox being the one to have stripped Dragov of his powers would be revealed in a later episode, but whether Dragov would turn on him after that isn't stated.
  • It's unknown if Dragov and his children had always been vampires or were cursed by Monstrox.
  • The 2018 Nexo Knights sets and comics feature an InfectoByter sibling duo, Fred and Pola, who were commonly rumored to be Dragov's children mentioned in the script, although Tommy Andreasen later clarified that he was unaware of Fred and Pola, and that the count's children had different names.
