Alien Icarus

Alien Icarus (イカルス星人, Ikarusu Seijin) is an alien that first appeared in Ultraseven. An alien from the 17th planet, Planet Icarus, that came to conquer the Earth and planned to build its forward base in the 4th dimension. Alien Icarus can use its teleportation abilities at will and attacks enemies using its Arrow Beam.^[1]

History[]

Ultraseven[]

Alien Icarus set up base in a residential area where it disguised itself in human form.^[2] In the following two months it perfected a 4th dimension control device which linked the 3rd and 4th dimensions together. Dan discovered the existence of dimensional rifts caused by the device and Alien Icarus allowed him to follow it into the 4th dimension. With Dan trapped in the 4th dimension and unable to transform into Ultraseven, Alien Icarus began its plan to attack the Earth with its spaceship. Alien Icarus used its control device to move freely between the 3rd and 4th dimensions and launched several attacks on Tokyo.

However, after Dan destroyed the control device and made his way back to the 3rd dimension. He transformed into Ultraseven and Alien Icarus changed into its true giant form as the fight began. Alien Icarus was greatly injured by Ultraseven’s eye slugger and then defeated after being thrown by his Ultra Psychokinesis.^{[1][The Suspicious Neighbor]}

Ultraman Ginga: Theater Special[]

Alien Icarus was one of the many aliens (and ultras) who were transformed into spark dolls during the Dark Spark War. He served as the second servant of Dark Lugiel to carry out his master's bidding. The alien was tasked with finding six spark dolls that were scattered around Mt. Furuhoshiyama: Red King, Baraba, Seagorath, Bemstar, Hanazagiran, and King Crab. Unknown to the alien, Hikaru and his friends were also searching Mt. Furuboshi for the spark dolls as well after he and Ultraman Taro sensed their presence resonating last night. As the teens were searching, Misuzu and Kenta stumbled upon Alien Icarus during his search and the alien became hostile. Luckily before he could attack them, the alien was blasted into the sky by Tomoya, whom was also on the search for the spark dolls. Despite the intervention, Alien Icarus continued his search, and was able to find the spark dolls of Bemstar and Seagorath.

Hoping to speed up his search, Alien Icarus took the form of Misuzu and attempted to trick Hikaru and Chigusa into giving him their spark dolls of Hanazagiran and Baraba. The Ginga Spark however managed to damage the alien's disguise, forcing Alien Icarus to give chase to the pair until they reunited with Tomoya, Kenta, and the real Misuzu. With his disguise exposed, and growing desperate, the alien seized Misuzu and threatened to kill her unless the teens agreed to give up their spark dolls to him. Not willing to let their friend get hurt, the teens complied. With the six spark dolls in his possession, Alien Icarus's true plan was revealed as he DarkLived them, along with himself, to merge into the combined monster: Tyrant. Despite this, after a long battle, Tyrant was eventually destroyed by the combined efforts of Jean-Nine and Hikaru as Ultraman Tiga, and Alien Icarus was tied up and interrogated by the teens in order to reveal who his master was. Before Alien Icarus could buckle however, he was struck by a ray of dark energy that reduced him back into a Spark Doll, fired by none other than Dark Lugiel as punishment for his failure.
