Personality[]
Raigo is a general in the Kanon Royal Defense Forces, known for his conservative and stern hawkish stance. He assumed a crucial role in Planet Kanon's military decision-making and leadership due to his belief in the power of the War Deity to safeguard the planet's peace. He adheres to a more radical approach when dealing with any situation, often resorting to aggressive methods or ruthless strategies in pursuit of what he perceives as beneficial to himself and national defense.
However, his true motivation is to protect the people he loves, including his wife. Despite being well aware of the threats and challenges facing the planet, he firmly believes that it is necessary to adopt a tough stance in order to ensure the genuine peace and security of the planet.
History[]
Ultraman Orb THE ORIGIN SAGA[]
At the outset of the series, Planet Kanon faced a threat from a genius named "Psychi," who sought to control the entire universe to achieve eternal peace. Apart from maintaining a spiritual connection with Queen Bezelb, he managed to infiltrate Planet Kanon with a large number of Bezelbs, posing a threat to the Alien Kanons. He demanded that Amate transform into a War Deity to further his goals. In response, Raigo believed it was necessary to follow the dictates of mythology and defeat Bezelb using the power of the War Deity, expelling it to protect the entire planet and the Tree of Life. He firmly believed that a proactive approach, regardless of the opponent's intentions, was imperative.
Considering Bezelb's presence in the orbit of the Planet Kanon, he proposed sending the military on a decisive assault on the base on Planet Zain, where Psychi was situated. However, Amate had no intention of becoming a War Deity, and instead, she dispatched Shinra for peaceful negotiations on Planet Zain.Glittering Star
Raigo was dissatisfied with Amate and Shinra's stance, and he saw that the residents, including his own wife Zanami, were concerned about the impending war. Faced with this situation, Raigo attempted to reassure her, advising her not to worry excessively, and assured her that relevant contingency measures were being devised. In pursuit of his goals, that same night, he dispatched an imposter to attack Amate in an attempt to frame Shinra, accusing Shinra of the crime of killing Amate and subsequently arresting him. He managed to imprison Shinra on a prison planet. However, during the transport, Shinra attempted to return to Planet Kanon using an escape pod but was intercepted by Bezelb and ultimately captured by Psychi.Last ~Fellow~
Amate,in response to the information provided by Shinra, offered a personal perspective, suggesting that complying with Psychi's demands had a certain degree of feasibility in order to protect the people. However, Raigo expressed dissatisfaction with Amate's idea, viewing it as akin to "bowing to terrorists out of fear of combat," and believed that such an approach would not safeguard the kingdom's subjects. He firmly believed that the existence of the War Deity was the only assurance of safety. Despite Amate's assertion that she didn't want to abandon her beliefs and individuality, Shinra persisted in his belief that the queen existed solely for the sake of her subjects and didn't need to assert any selfhood.Echo
Not long after, a large number of Bezelbs landed on Planet Kanon, and Psychi issued a final ultimatum through a holographic projection, stating that if Amate was not handed over, they would launch an attack the following day. Raigo ordered the entire military into a state of readiness and continued to insist that Amate transform into the War Deity.Afterwards ~Tragedy~
When Raigo found Amate who had left the palace, she took him to a place adorned with the mythology of the Tree of Life. There, Amate shared with him a myth known only to the royal family. In reality, the Tree of Life did not spread new life to the universe; it transmitted wisdom. She explained that the Tree of Life gave birth to two entities: the War Deity and Bezelb. Furthermore, she told Raigo that if these two entities born from the Tree of Life were to clash, it would lead to irreversible destruction.
However, Raigo remained conservative and did not believe that they should simply let the enemy dictate terms or use it as an excuse to avoid combat. During the battle, he finally witnessed the moment when Amate transformed into the War Deity.Dawn
However, Amate actually resolved to transform into the War Deity in order to avoid any form of combat. When the Bezelbs began attacking the people, he launched an offensive alongside the military against the Bezelbs. However, when they came under attack from Bezelb, Shinra arrived in time to rescue him. The two decided to collaborate and repel the Bezelbs together.
When the War Deity proactively went to negotiate with Queen Bezelb, Raigo found her actions quite puzzling. Unfortunately, all of this was part of Queen Bezelb's plot. She injected a puppet poison into the War Deity, causing her to lose control and leading to a fierce battle with Ultraman Orb, Ultraman Dyna, and Ultraman Cosmos. After everyone successfully obtained the fruit of the Tree of Life, the consciousness of the War Deity was restored.War Deity
However, with the Tree of Life being felled by Jugglus Juggler, the last remaining fruit on top was also destroyed. After witnessing Juggler's attack on the War Deity, who was attempting to protect the Tree of Life, Raigo attempted to detain him but ultimately witnessed the moment when Juggler, not understood by the public left the planet.
Upon confirmation, Raigo believed that Psychi's spaceship was still lurking near the planet and emphasized the need for vigilance. Subsequently, he convened a crucial meeting with other high-ranking officials to discuss intelligence regarding urban disasters. Due to the effort to maintain peace on Planet Kanon, the nation paid a tremendous price, including the unfortunate loss of countless residents and soldiers in the battle.Wrap ~Dazzling~
Upon learning that a new Tree of Life had sprouted on Earth, Amate attempted to abdicate in order to journey to Earth. However, Raigo believed that since it was for the protection of the Tree of Life, it was also the queen's duty. Upon witnessing Amate's determination, he witnessed the moment when Amate departed from the planet.Sound
