Destroyer

The Destroyer (デストロイヤー, Desutoroiyā) is the KDF's anti-Kaiju battleship and mobile command center. The ship is captained by Chief Officer Dr. Onda, with numerous stations for systems control, particularly that of Mecha Gigantron in the operation towards Kaiju Island.

On the "Initiate Transformation" protocol, all staff evacuate the premises, and the Destroyer undergoes its transformation into Robot mode, with Dr. Onda as its sole pilot.

History[]

Ultraman: Rising[]

The Destroyer was first seen following behind Mecha Gigantron, who was being led by Emi in the direction of Kaiju Island. When Ultraman appeared on-site to stop Mecha Gigantron from proceeding any further, the Destroyer remained in the skies, issuing commands to Mecha Gigantron.

However, once Gigantron returned to her senses with the help of Emi, Ultraman, and Ultradad, Dr. Onda ordered the evacuation of all personnel onboard the Destroyer, and activated its transformation protocol. Dr. Onda piloted the Destroyer Robot and fought ferociously against the Ultras and Kaiju, deploying its entire arsenal, but ultimately lost. In his final moments, he activated the Destroyer's self-destruct protocol, as Ultraman valiantly shielded the surrounding cities from its blast.^{Ultraman: Rising}

Trivia[]

In the Figure King no.317 mook, the Destroyer is classified as a large fighter aircraft (大型戦闘機, Ōgata sentōki).

Forms[]

The Destroyer (デストロイヤー, Desutoroiyā) is the KDF's large airborne mothership. On the "Initiate Transformation" protocol, it transforms into a giant robot.

The internal configuration includes a central command room, where the default staircase access to the central command platform is revealed by sliding doors that open around the command island.

Once the robot mode is activated, the staircase doors close and the central ring starts up. The central platform rises to a position above all personnel, equipped with a console ring and an additional safety ring.

U-Rising Destroyer Robot — Destroyer Robot

The Destroyer Robot (デストロイヤーロボ, Desutoroiyā Robo) is a 50-meter class mecha that is controlled by Dr. Onda in a telemetry suit. By unleashing all its arsenal, the mecha enters its Battle Mode (バトルモード, Batoru Mōdo).

To date, it is one of the most powerful weapons in the KDF's arsenal and was able to hold its own against the combined strength of Ultraman, Ultradad, Emi, and Mecha Gigantron.

Cyclone Defense (サイクロン・ディフェンス, Saikuron Difensu): The Destroyer rotates on its torso at blinding speeds with its arms outstretched.
Mace Mecha Punch (メース・メカ・パンチ, Mēsu Meka Panchi): The Destroyer's fist converts to a spiked configuration before launching the striking arm along an extended chain.
Destroyer Shield (デストロイヤー・シールド, Desutoroiyā Shīrudo): An energy shield deployed from its right arm.
Mechanical Power Sword (メカニカル・パワー・ソード, Mekanikaru Pawā Sōdo): An energy sword with a blade that can slice through an Ultra's skin. It is typically stored sheathed on the Destroyer's back.

Thrusters: The thrusters on the Destroyer's body can be used offensively e.g., to get enemies off its back.

Self-Destruct Protocol: A self-destruct feature that can be activated as a last resort by the Destroyer's pilot to annihilate everything within a 200-meter radius.
