In Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Franken-Foot is a patchwork construct made from the remains of multiple Origami Ninja, and a member of the Mad Dogs.
Physical appearance[]
Franken-Foot is a patchwork Origami Ninja with a small dark blue right arm, a dark red left arm, a dark red right leg, a small dark blue left leg, and cyan eyes. He wears a kimono-like jacket and pants with dark blue and red wraps around his forearms and calves, a dark blue sash around his waist, and a dark blue face mask with an off-model Foot Clan emblem at the center.
In "Sparring Partner", Franken-Foot's original emblem is erased by Michelangelo, who also replaces it with a Turtle emblem after Franken-Foot officially joins the Mad Dogs.
Personality[]
Franken-Foot is quite sensitive, easily taking Raphael's insincere insults to heart and going on an emotional rampage in New York City afterward. However, Franken-Foot is also kind, as he was willing to forgive the Turtles for their verbal abuse. He is friendly, easily accepting new friendships and is loyal to them once they have been formed.
While loving, Franken-Foot has a mischievous streak, joining Splinter and Piebald in their prank on the Turtles in "Flushed, but Never Forgotten", and his oblivious tendency can cause him to unintentionally get into trouble.
History[]
Franken-Foot debuted in "Sparring Partner". At some point, Raph assembled the paper remains of a few Origami Ninja and pieced them together to create a sparring partner for himself. As he didn't think his brothers would approve, Raph attempted to keep his friendship with Franken-Foot a secret. Franken-Foot later overheard Raph telling his brothers that the Origami Ninja were "jerks" who deserved to be shredded and ran away from the Lair. Once on the streets of New York City, Franken-Foot attacked anything with a red bandana, eventually entering Joe's Bandanas to continue his destruction. He was pursued by the Turtles and confronted by Raph who apologized and informed Franken-Foot that his previous insults were lies to keep his brothers' suspicions at bay. Franken-Foot forgave Raph and was made a member of the Mad Dogs. He then worked to defeat Foot Lieutenant, Foot Recruit, and the other Origami Ninja.
Franken-Foot collaborated with Splinter and Piebald in "Flushed, but Never Forgotten" in a prank on the Turtles, pretending to be destroyed by Piebald in front of Leo and Mikey while in the garage of the lair.
Franken-Foot was called upon by April O'Neil in "End Game" to help her and Splinter rescue the Turtles from the Foot Clan and Baron Draxum after they were captured. However, he was caught along with the rest of the B-Team in a trap laid at the entrance of the Shredder's shrine, making him unable to free them.
Abilities[]
- Ninjutsu: Franken-Foot demonstrates moderately creative skill in combat, such as quickly using his hand that was detached by a fellow Origami Ninja in a counter attack against it.
- Speed: Franken-Foot can move quite fast, able to quickly scale to the top of the lair's atrium after Raph upset him and follow his instructions to run while inside Joe's Bandanas.
- Bodily reformation: Franken-Foot's paper body can be easily torn, but he can control these parts remotely and they can be reattached with ordinary adhesive.
- Paper assimilation: Franken-Foot can control and add paper to his body to repair or enhance himself, though the enhancement effect seems to be temporary as shown in "Sparring Partner".
- Enhanced mystic abilities: Franken-Foot is capable of concentrating the mystic power in his body to assimilate the remains of several additional Origami Ninja into a new, incredibly large fist, strong enough to form craters in the ground. The wind generated from its movement is strong enough to destroy an Origami Ninja and propel Foot Lieutenant and Foot Recruit hundreds of feet in the air.
Relationships[]
Friends and allies[]
- Raphael: Franken-Foot was created by Raph weeks prior to his debut episode and he deeply loves him, enjoying playing games with him and sparring. As such, Franken-Foot was severely hurt when he heard Raph talk about him disparagingly, but was willing to continue their friendship after Raph's apology and explanation. He is easily enraged when Raph is hurt and doesn't hesitate to protect him, though he doesn't always listen to Raph.
- Leonardo: Franken-Foot seems to like Leo and is a friend to him.
- Donatello: Franken-Foot has not been shown interacting with Donnie, though Donnie accepts him as a Mad Dog.
- Michelangelo: Franken-Foot was bestowed with the Turtle emblem by Mikey and seems to like him.
- Piebald: Franken-Foot worked with Piebald to prank the Turtles in "Flushed, but Never Forgotten" and trusted her enough to pretend to kill him.
- Hamato Yoshi/Lou Jitsu/Splinter: Franken-Foot worked with Splinter to prank the Turtles in "Flushed, but Never Forgotten" and rode on his back as they both returned to the lair afterward.
Enemies[]
- The Foot Clan: Franken-Foot opposed the Foot Clan after becoming a Mad Dog and was able to defeat Foot Lieutenant and Foot Recruit in battle.
Trivia[]
- The prefix of Franken-Foot's name is a reference to Frankenstein.
- The Foot Clan insignia that was originally on Franken-Foot's face was upside-down as the toes of the foot were on the bottom of his face instead of at the top.
- Additionally, the insignia had only four toes on it instead of five.
- Franken-Foot is able to speak, unlike other Origami Ninja, though he has a limited vocabulary in comparison to the other Mad Dogs.
