Fedora

A fedora is a soft felt hat with a curled brim and the crown creased lengthwise as well as “pinched” near the front on both sides. The term fedora was in use as early as 1891. During the early twentieth century, a hat was a staple of men’s fashion. Starting in the 1920s, fedoras rose in popularity after the Prince of Wales adopted the felt hat as his favored headgear.

The fedora is also a favored part of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle disguise, which they usually pair with long trenchcoats. Most incarnations of the Ninja Turtles wear fedoras as disguises when traversing the streets. Of all of the Turtles individually, the fedora is normally associated with Raphael due to his "topside" adventure wearing one in the original feature film.
