The following is a list of leaders (both current and former) of the Trolls.
Main Rulers[]
This part includes leaders of the 6 main Tribes of Troll Kingdom.
Pop Trolls[]
In the Trolls franchise's primary canon, there are two known leaders of this Tribe:
- King Peppy - King Peppy was the Troll who freed his people from the Bergens in the opening storyline of Trolls, and ushered them in a new age of freedom. While his reign is mostly unknown besides this, he was king for at least 20 years from the moment he broke the Trolls out to when he stepped down.
- Queen Poppy - the daughter of King Peppy. She took over from Peppy after she managed to save her village from the Bergens for a second time in Trolls. While it was her own actions what got the entire village captured, they also led to a permanent solution to the issue with the Bergens. Poppy had issues listening to her people, and had a tendency to go with her gut feeling, regardless if it taught her a good or bad thing.
Other leaders from non-canon sources include:
- Queen Pippi - mentioned in the Trolls Graphic Novels, she's Peppy's mother and Poppy's grandmother.
- King Pappi - also mentioned in the Trolls Graphic Novels. He's Peppy's grandfather and Poppy's great-grandfather.
- King Loppy - mentioned in the Trolls Graphic Novels as well. He's Peppy's great-grandfather and Poppy's great-great-grandfather.
Rock Trolls[]
There are two known leaders of this Tribe:
- King Thrash - a well-respected Troll whose years of hard rocking finally caught up with him. Between his physical health and mental state, he was no longer able to rule his Tribe and stepped down.
- Queen Barb - the daughter of King Thrash. Barb became ruler at some point shortly before Trolls World Tour. Barb began her Rock World Tour soon after her rise to power, an idea she supposedly got from her father. Barb was noted for her issue with living up to expectations and she had trouble listening to others, though she claimed people only told her what she wanted to hear.
Country Trolls[]
According to Holly Darlin' in the Trolls: TrollsTopia episode "TrollsTopia", the Country Trolls have an oligarchy instead of a monarchy.
There is one known leader of this Tribe:
- Delta Dawn - the current mayor and sheriff of Lonesome Flats. She's a young woman in charge of keeping the peace.
In "The Fun Harvest", it was mentioned that at least 3 mayors have existed as a trivia question asked who the 3rd mayor of Lonesome Flats was.
Classical Trolls[]
Despite Dante Crescendo from Trolls: TrollsTopia having a position of royal composer, thus noting there's a monarchy, their leader is referred to as a "conductor" rather than with a royal title.
There is one known leader of this Tribe:
- Wolfgang Amadeus Trollzart - the current conductor.
Funk Trolls[]
There are two known leaders of this Tribe:
- King Quincy and Queen Essence - The rulers of the Funk Trolls. They're the oldest Troll monarchs and leaders still in power, and have years of experience behind them. They're the heads of The Funky Family.
Techno Trolls[]
There is one known leader of this Tribe:
- King Trollex - Little is known about him, other than his duty to keep his people's hearts beating and make them happy.
TrollsTopia Tribal Council[]
In TrollsTopia, in addition to Queen Poppy being the main voice for the Pop Trolls, each main Tribe is led by an ambassador, referred to as "delegates". They're not rulers, but rather representatives of the local Troll populations, who are generally in-charged with keeping the interests of the local Trolls' well-being.
The ambassadors are:
- Val Thundershock - the Rock Tribe ambassador, who was sent by Queen Barb upon Poppy's request.
- Holly Darlin' - the Country Tribe ambassador.
- Dante Crescendo - the royal composer of the Classical Trolls and the Classical Tribe ambassador.
- Lownote Jones - the Funk Tribe ambassador.
- Synth - the Techno Tribe ambassador.
Other[]
This part includes known leaders of subcultures.
- Tresillo - the leader of the Reggaeton Trolls.
- Viva - the leader of the Putt Putt Trolls.
Trivia[]
- The tribal leaders share their color schemes with the Strings and match the color of their own string.
- The Ambassadors in the Tribal Council also feature the color somewhere in their color scheme (Val has red in her eyes and accessories, Holly has orange skin, Dante has golden skin, Lownote has purple in his hair and Synth has a blue topknot and square pattern).
