A Sword (검, geom) is a weapon consisting typically of a long, straight or slightly curved, pointed blade having one or two cutting edges and set into a hilt.

As an individual climbs higher and higher up the Tower, due to the high viscosity of Shinsu, wide swords with high surface area don't exist.[1] Because of this, weapons such as needles or spears are more widely used in opposition of swords. Despite their limitations in upper Floors, the White Oar is a famous sword because is the only known S+ rank weapon inside the Tower.
There are also special types of swords which include Ignition Weapons. Narumada is such a type of sword.
The Arie Family is a well-known family which famous for its use of swords and their unique sword techniques, capable of using swords in very dense Shinsu. Swords wielded with Arie swordsmanship have no blind spots and there are no good techniques to counteract this style.[2][3]
