Genjii (玄爺) is a turtle capable of flight. Originally, before Reimu learned to fly for herself via weightlessness, she used Genjii's help. During Story of Eastern Wonderland, Reimu calls him "Gramps" and other such things mocking his age. Even though he is clearly older than Reimu, she still treats him as a pet.
Etymology[]
- The name Genji means "mysterious, occultness" (玄) (gen) and "grandfather, old man" (爺) (ji).
