The Sunlight Firefly (日光蛍 Nikkō Botaru) is a small insect that, like most fireflies can chemically produce a bright light in its lower abdomen, however the light it produces is incredibly intense and can briefly blind those who are unfortunate enough to see it (even Nitro are not immune to the blinding effects of it). This bug is used by saiseiyas as a non-lethal diversionary weapon.[1]

A Sunlight Firefly was used by the saiseiya Etsuru to protect Livebearer from a deadly Nitro while his comrade Kyurumu healed him.[1]
