A Kelp Stone (昆布石 Konbuishi) is a special stone that has the natural essence and flavor of kelp and can be used in making a very special type of Kelp Sake (昆布酒 Konbushu). It is served in the 10-star restaurant "Disappearing Cuisine". The preparation is extremely difficult, it starts with water at 3 degrees celsius and it has to be risen it 1 degree per hour; at the same time you need to soak the stone in the water at a fixed rate millimeter by millimeter over the course of the hour. It must be done by hand, if you move the stone in a other direction the stock will stop. The preparation can take up to 5 days, depending on the size of the stone.
Even drinking the sake is extremely difficult, you must do specific movements following the gourmet etiquette and should you disturb the surface of the water, it will lose its savoriness.
