Keeley Hawes (born February 10, 1976) is an English actress who voiced Lara Croft in all of the Legend timeline games, except Lara Croft: Relic Run.

Keeley made her first appearance in Tomb Raider: Legend in 2006, and was chosen by London-based voicing agency Side UK, who had previously worked on the Fable, Killzone and DragonQuest franchises among others.[1] Keeley reprised her role in the subsequent sequels, Anniversary and Underworld, as well as in the Guardian of Light and Temple of Osiris downloadable spin-offs. When rebooting the franchise for a second time in 2013, it was announced that Camilla Luddington would be the new voice of the character, replacing Hawes.[2]

Prior to Tomb Raider, Keeley was known for her roles in popular television dramas such as Ashes to Ashes. Since then, she has gone on to star in acclaimed British dramas such as The Durrells, Line of Duty, Doctor Who, Inside No. 9, The Bodyguard and It's A Sin. Keeley has three BATFA nominations for her roles in Line of Duty, The Bodyguard and Mrs. Wilson. In 2019, she began her own production company, Buddy Club.[3] They have produced two shows, Honour and Finding Alice, both of which were critically and commercially successful. Hawes served as both executive producer and star of each show.[4][5]

In 2016, whilst making an appearance on The Graham Norton Show alongside Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant, Keeley briefly discussed her time in the franchise, gave an anecdote of her son playing Legend, and reacted to her vocal grunts in the game.[6] In 2021, an update to the beta version of Tomb Raider Reloaded which featured a new cutscene voiced by Hawes, marking her return to the franchise for the first time in 7 years.[7]
