Plot
Summary
Max & Phoebe secretly employ their parents' former sidekick to ease their busy schedule, but the twins' bickering and inability to share provokes an unexpected response from their new sidekick.[2] Billy and Nora try to help Chloe become a good Girl Scout.
Main Plot
Phoebe and Max return from Z-Force training only to realize that it's already dinner time. They had left early, hoping to do a just few saves in the morning, but they ended up spending time the entire day. Now they have a lot of homework and other tasks to do but have no time to do it. At home, they find Hank and Barb with their former sidekick, Assista-Boy.
The Thunder Twins ask their parents to let Assista-Boy become their sidekick so that he can help them with all their work as they train for Z-Force. However, Barb and Hank are concerned that Max and Phoebe won't be able to share a sidekick because they never share anything peacefully before without fighting. Even though the Hero League can assign a sidekick, the parents must sign an authorization form first. Hank and Barb refuse to sign the form and instead accept tickets from Assista-Boy to go to the Metroburg Super Spa.
When Max and Phoebe are left home alone, Max forges his parents' signatures, allowing the Hero League to authorize Assista-Boy to become their sidekick. The twins are very happy as they sit down and relax while the sidekick is doing everything for them. He cleans Max's Lair as well as the slide. He even finds the pan flute from Ditch Perfect which Max had hidden away from Phoebe. He is just the perfect assistant they could ever ask for.
Things are going very well until they start fighting over what the sidekick should do. Phoebe wants Assista-Boy to help her with her workout while Max wants him to help him get a date to the upcoming Spring fling dance. To help end the conflict, Assista-Boy gives them a Hero Share calendar so that they he can divide time between "Hero A" and "Hero B." The twins start fighting over who should be Hero A. So, Assista-Boy uses a weird version of eenie-meeny-miny-Moe to choose who Hero A should B. It's Phoebe.
Assista-Boy takes Phoebe to the workout and even spends extra time working on Phoebe's super-cape to add pockets and thundertanium reinforcement. Unfortunately, he takes some of Max's time to finish up what he was doing for Phoebe. Max gets angry at him and Phoebe. Phoebe offers to let him borrow some of her time, but Max is mostly upset because Phoebe didn't ask him first. He rips off a pocket from Phoebes cape. Phoebe gets angry and goes to Max's Lair, vowing to destroy everything Max values. She burns Max's project with her Heat Breath. Max enters the lair and the fight between the twins intensifies. Assista-Boy warns them to stop fighting or else he will turn into a sad monster. They start laughing at him because he should be a grown man. But then Assista-Boy turns into a sad, mean orange monster.
The sad monster starts attacking the twins. Phoebe tries to freeze him with Freeze Breath but the monster is immune. So, Phoebe runs away upstairs. Max tries to confront the monster, but the monster overpowers him and carries him out of the house. Phoebe calls her parents for help, but it goes to voicemail because they are too busy getting spa treatment. She joins Max in trying to stop the monster but he's too powerful for them. The monster throws Dr. Colosso so hard that he falls through the roof into the spa where Hank and Barb are. Colosso refuses to tell the parents what's going on at home - until he gets a spa treatment first.
Back at home, the Thunder Twins figure out that Assista-Boy turned into the sad monster when he saw them fighting. So, maybe if they pretended to get along, he will turn back into Assista-Boy. They try but the monster continues attacking them. To protect themselves from the monster, the twins use Phoebe's thundertanium-enhanced cape to hide. The monster sees the twins sharing, which makes him very happy. He turns back into Assista-Boy.
The twins apologize to Assista-Boy for using him like that. However, Hank and Barb come in and decide that they will be grounded for getting Assista-Boy without their permission. Assista-Boy then teases by pretending that he's becoming sad again. Max and Phoebe run away. He then admits to Hank and Barb that this was a prank, and they all laugh at how they baited the thunder twins.
Sub Plot
Chloe is selling girl-scout cookies on their front yard but she isn't getting many customers. Nora and Billy come over to see how she's doing. She asks them to buy but Billy refuses claiming that he doesn't buy candy from strangers. He admits to Nora that he only said that because he didn't have money to buy. Nora feels bad for Chloe and helps her by suggesting that they should sell the cookies at a place where people are desperate to buy anything to eat - near Splatburger. So, the kids carry their cookies and set up their station outside Splatburger.
Unfortunately, Mrs. Wong comes over and accuses them of stealing customers from her by selling cookies on her property. She forces them to move. But Nora outsmarts her by moving only about a foot or two away so that they're just slightly beyond the Splatburger boundary. Mrs. Wong threatens Nora that she may have won this time, but she will be back.
To end Chloe's business, Mrs. Wong sets up her own girl-scout cookie business next to where Chloe is stationed. She steals a lot of customers from Chloe until Chloe says that she's giving up. Nora refuses to let Chloe give up. She tells Chloe that part of becoming a scout is being a scout is working hard and doing whatever it takes without giving up. She urges Chloe to use her advantage over Mrs. Wong - she's a cute little kid.
With Nora's advice, Chloe starts crying begging people to buy her cookies. All the customers turn to Chloe and buy all her cookies. Mrs. Wong is left complaining about how much she hates children.
