Diane “Di” Amara is the secondary antagonist of Big Hero 6: The Series, serving as a minor character in Season 1 and one of the two main antagonists (alongside Chief Cruz) of Season 2.
Initially introduced as Liv Amara, she was presented as the founder and CEO of the biotech company Sycorax, who was secretly responsible for creating numerous monstrous supervillains to terrorize San Fransokyo. Later, it was revealed that she is a biological clone of the real Liv Amara, intending to revive her creator by any means necessary. She serves as one of the archenemies of Hiro Hamada.
She was voiced by Mara Wilson.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- She displays the least redeeming qualities out of all the characters in the Big Hero 6 series, having only her protectiveness of her creator and her pet Chris.
- She was the only villain in this series to mutate supervillains, and sometimes innocent people, into monsters to terrorize the city of San Fransokyo thanks to the chips she's able to implant.
- She created a villain named Nega-Globby, who made the real Globby a fugitive and had to be captured by Big Hero 6 for how monstrous he was before he ultimately redeemed himself.
- She created a bear out of a meteroid named Bessie, who uses lasers that disable all electronics and also terrorized the city along with the other monsters before Ned Ludd tamed him. Even after she was tamed, the bear still caused trouble for Hiro and Chief Cruz when they were stuck at Muirahara Woods.
- She made monsters out of Orso Knox and Karmi, both of whom just wanted to be friendly towards her, only for them to be used in her crimes. As a result, they received PTSD, with Karmi having to move out of the city.
- Unlike Obake and Yokai, she never showed remorse for any of her crimes or even had a noble goal behind them and her posthumous effect of those crimes happen much more frequently, thus making her crimes the most horrible and detestable in the series.
