Disney+ is a subscription-based video streaming service owned by The Walt Disney Company, which launched on November 12, 2019 (following a soft launch in the Netherlands on September 12th). It offers both classic and new content from Disney and its subsidiaries, including Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Fox and National Geographic.

Almost all of the original Disney Afternoon shows (with the strange exceptions of the Aladdin series and The Shnookums and Meat Funny Cartoon Show) are currently available on Disney+.

Notes[]

  • Unlike the digital releases on iTunes and Amazon Video, episodes of DuckTales, Darkwing Duck, Bonkers, and Gargoyles are presented uncut (outside of "Darkly Dawns the Duck", which remains in its chopped-up episodic form). Unfortunately, TaleSpin episodes are presented in the same edited versions seen on Toon Disney and the previous digital releases (despite the uncut episodes having been released on DVD).
  • For some reason, Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers and Goof Troop (both of which use the HD prints from the digital releases) are presented in cropped widescreen.
  • The banned TaleSpin episodes "Last Horizons" and "Flying Dupes" and the banned Darkwing Duck episode "Hot Spells" are unfortunately not available on this service (even though the TaleSpin episodes were released on DVD). Fortunately, other banned episodes of the Disney Afternoon shows (most notably the Bonkers episodes "New Partners on the Block" and "Fall Apart Bomb Squad") are available on the service.
  • For some reason, the DuckTales episodes "Sphinx for the Memories" and "Launchpad's Civil War" and the Goof Troop episode "Have Yourself a Goofy Little Christmas" are not present on the service.
    • "Frozen Assets" was also inexplicably missing when the service launched. This was fixed a few days later.
