Shinji Tanimura

Shinji Tanimura ｢谷村真治｢シンジ・タニムラ｣, shinji tanimura｣ is a Japanese Otherworlder and a disciple of Gadra, formerly employed as a military officer in the Eastern Empire. He was granted asylum in Tempest and currently works as Ramiris' assistant.

Personality[]

Shinji is a laidback man, his disinterest in the Eastern Empire's rank battles prove that he isn't power craving, and prefers spending his time in the lab. As Ramiris' assistant he's far more at home in his new environment. He's diligent enough to always keep updated on the constant ongoings of the world, unlike Mark. Like the latter, he used to be an avid gamer back when he was still in Japan as he was overly familiar with the dungeon RPG mechanics the Dungeon floor designs took after.

Story[]

Shinji was a 23-year-old university student who spent most of his days in the lab. One day he fell victim to an unspecified nation's summoning ritual and got transported to the otherworld. He was then taken in by Yuuki, sent to the Eastern Empire, and wound up under Gadra's tutelage as a military officer. At some point he was dispatched as part of the subjugation force tasked with bringing down the daemon behind the Lakeshore Dyed Scarlet Incident. The unit suffered significant losses, leaving less than 30% survivors, including Shinji.

After Yuuki joined the Empire and became a corps commander, Shinji wanting to pay back his debt to him, left the Armored Division and transferred to the Composite Division led by the youth.

Prior to the Eastern Empire's war declaration, Shinji, Mark and Shin, were ordered by Gadra and Yuuki to investigate the labyrinth to confirm the existence of an underground research facility. They were eventually accepted asylum in Jura-Tempest Federation and placed under Ramiris as her assistants.
