The Titans must find a way to keep all the Jump City residents from moving to Stockton.
Plot[]
The H.I.V.E. Five is looting Jump City Bank—so where are the Teen Titans? Well, they're currently in the T-Car, stuck in a sea of traffic. Impatient to get going, the team runs over and shoots missiles at any vehicles in the way. When they see the H.I.V.E.'s left the crime scene, they decide to pick up some pizza. In the process, the Titans completely wreck the shop, then run over some more people on their way out...
Back at the Tower, Robin breaks the news that the Jump City Sharks hockey game has been canceled. Apparently, no one is buying tickets because everyone is leaving Jump City for a place called Stockton. Now the Titans are in panic mode: no citizens to protect spells no need for them to be heroes! Starfire has an idea, though: they can watch an old film on Jump City and figure out what makes the city so great.
It turns out that there's a lot of cool attractions and things to do, but Raven's not so sure all this is still around. So the Titans take a road trip, where they find that everything cool—the baseball stadium, Chemical Bear Industries, and the beaches—has been demolished (by them, of course).
Despite the destruction, there's still one awesome aspect about Jump City: the Teen Titans! Cyborg's wondering how they spread the word, so Robin proposes that they make a Teen Titans website. A corny coding montage takes place, and the finished product isn't much better. The poorly produced website brings in the views, but it doesn't bring in new residents. In fact, now the Jump City population has dropped to zero. Sadness overtakes the Titans as they realize THEY'RE the problem, but they pull it together one last time to stop the H.I.V.E...
On their way to the battle, the Titans are shocked by how much space there is with everyone gone. Then they notice the H.I.V.E. walking out the bank, penniless; apparently, the citizens took their money when they left. To celebrate, the team heads off to the presumably line-less pizza shop, but they're dismayed to see it abandoned and in ruins. No problem, though! Beast Boy has an idea—the Titans move to Stockton, CA, where they ravage and raid the town for its pizza...
The three postcards at the end appear to depict the Stockton Waterfront from the harbor, an unnamed area downtown (possibly El Dorado street), and Stockton City Hall.
Stockton is depicted well in the show, although it has been known for its poverty and crime, having declared bankruptcy in 2012.
Robin apparently has a compulsion to find a parking spot for the T-Car even before fighting crime.
It is also the first episode written by one of the voice cast from the series.
It's revealed that Starfire wears pink toe nail polish.
This episode also reveals that Jump City has a professional hockey team, the "Jump City Sharks."
Another the Bay Area city, San Jose, has the Sharks in the NHL. Their colors are teal and not yellow.
In Latin America, the intro is cut off on Boomerang LA airings.
Starfire is revealed to detest crabs in this episode.
All of the photos on the Titans' self-made website's backdrop are all old promotional images and episode screenshots you can find on the Internet when you search for the series.
The scene where Titans were watching video in computer was used in "Redraw Your World" bumper (Huw) in Cartoon Network U.K., Europe, MENA, and South Africa.
Continuity[]
Cyborg and Beast Boy wore their sunglasses from "Ones and Zeroes" when the Titans were making the website.
Beast Boy remembering himself blowing up the Chemical Bear Industries with dangerous chemicals is a reference to one of the original series episodes.
Errors[]
At one point, Robin's communicator reports that Jump City's population has fallen to 0. However, it should at least be 10, since the Titans and the H.I.V.E. still live there.
However, it can be argued that both team's towers are outside of the city limits.
The team insists on driving through traffic in Jump City when all members can either fly of their own power or, in Robin's case, swing from rope. They could also have used any of their other various vehicles or teleported there through Raven's powers. Given this, they could have captured the H.I.V.E. members in time and not cause unnecessary destruction, except when ordering pizza.
