Vara was a Kalvyri. She tried to warn Kate Stewart about an invasion and that there was a piece of their technology in the tower. Her daughter was Norei and her husband denounced her. She told Petronella Osgood how the Harmonic Gun worked. She tried to plead for her life when Jarrak arrived. Kate Stewart told her that she was threatening her children when Vara was pleading for her daughter's life. Upon returning to the fleet she committed suicide to destroy it. (AUDIO: Breach of Trust)
