The Cyber Nomads was the third instalment of The ArcHive Tapes anthology, narrated and produced by David Banks.
In accordance with Attack of the Cybermen, it accounted for the Telosian Cybermen seen in The Tomb of the Cybermen as Mondasian Cybermen who colonised the planet. The television story The Doctor Falls would later revert to the earlier conception of Telos as the actual planet of those Cybermen, unrelated to Mondas, explaining away the separate occurrence of these two species of Cybermen as parallel evolution.

Worldbuilding[]
- Hegelia implies that after the attack on the Moonbase in 2070, Cybermen weren't seen for four centuries.
- She also seems to imply the Second Doctor named the Cybermen's "Controller."
- At the end of the Vogan War in the 22nd century the Cybermen bombed Voga and the largest fragment of the planet was propelled through a space warp, eventually settling around Jupiter, which Hegelia describes as a "failed star" or a "brown drawf." It was renamed "Neo Phobos."
- Circle freighters take trips lasting decades, often returning to the solar system with outdated maps, requiring guiding beacons like Nerva Beacon and Ganymede Beacon.
- The last of the CyberNomads spent three centuries searching for Voga. Hegelia calls them "Late CyberNomad," theorising that the Early Nomads who warred with Voga were more advanced.
- The Fourth Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith, and Harry Sullivan arrive on Nerva on "Day 3 of Week 47."
Notes[]
- This instalment makes use of archive audio taken from television serials Revenge of the Cybermen and The Tomb of the Cybermen, both Hegelia date to the end of the 25th century.
Continuity[]
- The documents cover the Vogan War and the Nomads' attempt to destroy Voga, (TV: Revenge of the Cybermen) as well as the colonisation of Telos and resulting Telosian subspecies, who combined with the Nomads to create the Neomorphs. (TV: The Tomb of the Cybermen, Attack of the Cybermen)
- The narrator acknowledges that Victoria Waterfield had recently lost her father to the Daleks. (TV: The Evil of the Daleks)
