Throughout Enter Wildthyme the "Blithe Pinking Shears" are mostly just referred to as "Pinking Shears". There is one point where they are also called the "Magic Pinking Shears", and according to this page in Wildthyme Beyond! (which I have yet to read) they are named the "Subtle Pinking Shears". Shouldn't they just be called "Pinking Shears" instead of holding one of their many other names to a higher value? RadMatter 00:36, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello. “Blithe Pinking Shears” and "Subtle Pinking Shears" are the only capital-letter proper names given to these scissors, with all other descriptors just calling them “a pair of pinking shears”, sometimes using the adjective “magic”. I believe policies on naming things is that if a person/thing is given a specific name in at least one of its stories, that takes priority over keeping a page with a more generic name. Pinking shears are just a generic type of cutting tool. Enter Wildthyme heavily features the pinking shears in its plot, with the name “Blithe Pinking Shears” being said at least 7 times. (Incidentally, the Brenda & Effie novel “The Bride the Time Forgot” also uses “Blithe Pinking Shears”.) I think the shears only appear in one scene of Wildthyme Beyond, where the name given in that book is only said once. I think it makes sense to keep the page named as is. How sure are we they're even the same thing? The Subtle and the Blithe Pinking Shears, that is. I mean, they're clearly the same sort of thing, but couldn't there be a sort of laser screwdriver/sonic screwdriver thing going on? Or is that out of the question for some reason which eludes me at the moment? Scrooge MacDuck 23:40, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Very sure, these are a one-of-a-kind artefact and their brief appearance in Wildthyme Beyond! has them being used by the same character who possessed them in the prior novel, and there's not really a hole in the narrative for him to have left and gotten a new pair of magic shears. The name change is just a part of how Magrs does continuity. CoT ? 23:59, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
