In 1965, the Sixth Doctor and Melanie Bush visited Salford. They got involved in a mystery at a local pub and hairdresser's involving the Wishing Beast. (AUDIO: The Vanity Box ^[+]Paul Magrs, The Wishing Beast (Main Range, Big Finish Productions, 2007).)

Perry Winkle went to school with a boy in Salford who looked like the Ninth Doctor in the 1970s. In March 2005, Perry reported to this to the conspiracy website Doctor Who?.

In 2003, Steve Hanson witnessed the Ninth Doctor and a group of fanatics trying to save an old cinema in Salford from being pulled down, but they were unsuccessful. (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man? ^[+]various authors, Who is Doctor Who? (BBC, 2005).)

The Sixth Doctor was arrested by D.I. Patricia Menzies of the Salford constabulory in 2008 on the charge of murder. (AUDIO: The Condemned ^[+]Eddie Robson, Main Range (Big Finish Productions, 2008).) Later, Menzies also arrested Charlotte Pollard on suspicion of murder. Both the Doctor and Charley revisited Salford and worked with Menzies when a mysterious pound coin from the future turned up in a coin-operated vending machine in the area.
