During the Last Great Time War, the Daleks attempted to time travel to prehistoric Gallifrey, to prevent the Time Lords from evolving, during an era where a large lizard-like species existed on the planet. This lizard-creature was later Time Scooped into the present day by the war-era Time Lords, (PROSE: Engines of War) potentially continuing to exist on the planet after the conflict.
