L'Ithe was an island located in the Channel Islands. A Silurian shelter was located underneath the island.

In 1969, a group of hippies travelled to L'Ithe to set up a commune but left before one week, believing the island to be haunted. Media interest in the incident ebbed after a few weeks but Tom Renault continued to try and exploit the story of the "Haunted Island", hoping to create a tourist attraction. The Channel Island inhabitants were not enthusiastic about the idea. Tom was eventually killed by Sea Devils who used their method of underside burning to kill him in his boat near the Port of Guernsey. (PROSE: The Scales of Injustice)
