Fahrenheit

Fahrenheit was a unit of measurement for temperature. It was in use in the United Kingdom in the late 19th century, (TV: Lost in Time) and in the 1960s. (PROSE: Time and Relative) Mercury-based thermostats could give the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. (PROSE: Time and Relative, The Three Paths)

The freezing point of water was 32° Fahrenheit. (PROSE: Time and Relative) Frost or even snow could form at 30°. (PROSE: The Three Paths)

In 1889, Emily Morris noted that a temperature of 60° outside, and 41 indoors, was a "classic sign of ghosts". (TV: Lost in Time)
