This is a in-universe counterpart of the real world Big Finish audio drama The Land of the Dead that exists within the Doctor's universe. This is among one of many meta-fictional aspects of Bafflement and Devotion, a short story written by Paul Magrs which blurred the line between fact and fiction.

Big Finish also exists in-universe, but no source has mentioned that they produced this story in-universe.
