Alan Yentob, CBE (born 11 March 1947[1]) was Controller of BBC One from 1992 to 1996. He was also Controller of BBC Two from 1987 to 1993. He commissioned the 1996 television movie for BBC One — as well as The Dark Dimension, a thirtieth anniversary project that was eventually scrapped with minor ideas brought into Dimensions in Time.
He was interviewed on the documentary The Seven Year Hitch.
