Duke Etiakret was head of the Carthaki negotiators during the peace talks in 451 HE. On one of the talks he walked simply out of the room when Tortall refused to consent to buy certain goods only from Carthak. When he returned he announced that Carthak wouldn't hand an imprisoned raider over to Tortall. Later that evening during the banquet he told Lord Martin that the Emperor had reprimanded him for it and that the peace talks would certainly go better in the morning.[1]

He only appeared in Emperor Mage.
