Clone Wars: Adventures is a novel series by DarthJaciuss, Boomdodger, and Thorun Ordo taking place between the events of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and concurrently with the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series. A minimum of five books were officially scheduled for production but more are expected to come in the future[1].
Adventures follows the stories of four protagonists; the two Jedi Viera Cacete and Zay Arlenn as well as Clone Commanders Dodge and Trigg and their exploits during the Clone Wars. The series will also introduce a variety of new characters and many more characters from Legends continuity will make appearances alongside various canonical characters.
Production[]
Clone Wars: Adventures originally began as The Clone Wars: Ultimates, the latter of which conceptualized on April 3, 2016. Under its original authors, and after lengthy discussions, it was reformatted and renamed on February 20, 2020 to facilitate the processes of their work moving forward.[1] The concept for Adventures came from the massive multiplayer online video game Star Wars: Clone Wars: Adventures by Sony Online Entertainment, of which a majority of Adventures leading characters owed their beginning as player accounts of the authors.[1]
Continuity[]
While it remains an entity apart from Lucasfilm's official timeline, Adventures does not interfere with existing Star Wars canon but compliments it. It was announced early in Adventures development that characters from Legends would appear in their content. Despite running alongside canon, the authors have expressed awareness that canon could contradict the novels in the future.
