Jaina Solo was a female Human Jedi Knight of the New Jedi Order. She was the daughter of Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa, as well as the granddaughter of Anakin Skywalker.
Along with her twin brother Jacen, Jaina was trained in the ways of the Force at the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4. During her training, she and her brother faced off against a number of threats, including the Diversity Alliance and the Second Imperium. Shortly afterwards, the galaxy was faced with the Imperial Sith War. During the conflict, she enlisted in the New Republic Starfighter Corps and became a member of Rogue Squadron. For her efforts in defending the New Republic from the Sith, Jaina was promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight.
Two years after the war, Jaina and her siblings worked together to foil the plot of the Children of Vader, a radical cult that worshiped Darth Vader, the Sith alter ego of their grandfather. By the time of the Glorian War, she had become commander of Rogue Squadron.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Jaina Solo, along with her twin brother Jacen, was born in 9 ABY to Han and Leia Organa Solo; the following year, they were joined by younger brother named Anakin. Due to their parents' popularity, the three Solo children were subject to various attempts at kidnapping them by Imperial warlords.
Jedi training[]
In 22 ABY, Jaina and Jacen were sent to the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4 to begin their Jedi training. Over the next three years, Jaina encountered such threats as the Diversity Alliance and the Second Imperium. She also met and helped redeem the Dark Jedi Zekk, whom she developed a close connection to.[1]
In 25 ABY, the Imperial Sith War broke out. Having inherited her father's skills as a pilot, Jaina joined the New Republic starfighter squadron Rogue Squadron, flying under the call sign Rogue Eleven.[2] Following her efforts in the war, Jaina and her sibling were deemed to have completed their training and dubbed as Jedi Knights.

Children of Vader crisis[]
Two years after the Imperial Sith War's end, Jaina accompanied her family to attend Remembrance Day on New Alderaan, memorizing her mother's homeworld of Alderaan twenty-eight years after it had been destroyed by the Galactic Empire. During the celebrations that followed, a cult known as the Children of Vader attacked the city of New Aldera, its members dressed up in costumes based on Jaina's grandfather Darth Vader. Jaina pursued one of the attackers only for him to activate a suicide capsule in his mouth, killing himself before he could be interrogated.[3]
After the man had been identified as Mill Arkham, Jaina's brother Jacen found information on him leading to the planet of Vjun and Jaina disembarked for the planet with her siblings aboard the Best Chance, the ship of Chance Calrissian. Upon arriving on Vjun, Jaina and her siblings discovered a group of cultists worshiping Vader, led by the former professor Ingo Wavlud. After Wavlud managed to convince them that Arkham and his compatriots had acted of their own accord and were not endorsed by Wavlud and the rest of the cult, Jaina and the others decided to leave.[3]
Unconvinced of Wavlud's explanation, Jacen planned on asking Captain Wallen Nix to look into Wavlud and his history. Before they could do so, the Children of Vader struck again at the Madera Starros Theater on Hosnian Prime. After getting information from Wallen that led to the Alderaan system, the Solo siblings enlisted the help of Chance Calrissian once more as they set off for the system.[3]
Glorian War[]
Jaina's prowess as a pilot, on par with those of her father, impressed her commanders enough that she was eventually elevated to commander of Rogue Squadron, a position she would serve throughout the Glorian War that broke out ten years later, leading the Rogues at Rhen Var[4] and Coruscant.[5]
Sith Insurgency[]
Following the conclusion of the Glorian War, Jaina stepped down as Rogue Leader to focus on her Jedi studies. In 41 ABY, she was present on Ossus when the Sith army of Darth Taral attacked the Jedi Temple. During the battle, she clashed with the dark warrior Kylo Ren, whom she would later discover was her long lost brother Ben. After helping the surviving Jedi escape Ossus aboard the Millennium Falcon, Jaina accompanied her family to Mandalore where they confronted Kylo Ren aboard the Resurgent, though they failed to convince him to return to the light.[6]
The following year, Jaina was sparring with Zekk on Tython when she sensed her mother and uncle being tortured by Supreme Leader Snoke on Naboo.[7]
