Gamma-class ARC troopers were the third generation of Advanced Recon Commandos that succeeded the Beta-class. While the Alpha-class and Beta-class generations fought under the Grand Army of the Republic, the Gamma-class would not be fully developed until during the Imperial Period. During the Galactic Civil War, most soldiers of the Gamma-class were repurposed into the Field Commando Program.
Composition and training[]
Most Gamma-class ARC troopers were veterans of the Clone Wars, while others were cloned from various templates after the war's end. Soldiers of this class were equipped with enhanced stormtrooper armor and often signified their place using red-colored pauldrons. Gamma-class ARC troopers were trained to operate as infiltrators and saboteurs, with certain units also having a proficiency in starfighter piloting.
