Becky Smoochenbacher was a Human female individual who lived during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Becky was born into a wealthy family and lived on the Upper Ring of The Wheel space station, the home of one of the galaxy's most luxurious casinos. In her youth, Becky befriended the Freemaker family that lived in the Middle Ring of the Wheel space station and developed romantic feelings for the oldest of the Freemaker children, Zander Freemaker. Sometime after the Freemakers left the Wheel, Becky enlisted enlisted into the Imperial Military and chose to pursue a career in the Imperial Navy. During the Death Star II's construction, Becky was selected among other cadet pilots in training to work on the Death Star II as an Imperial Weapons Technician. As a gunner, Becky was one of the many technicians who operated the Death Star II's powerful array of weapons such as the turbolasers and the planet-destroying superlaser weapon.
During the Battle of Endor, Becky realized she was on the wrong side of the conflict and decided to defect to the Rebel Alliance after seeing the Freemakers fighting for the Rebellion. Becky rescued the Freemakers from the Death Star II detention level and at the same time she confessed her true feelings for Zander Freemaker, feelings that he also had for her. After defecting, Becky stole an Imperial ship and set course for Endor, where she would rendezvous with the Freemakers. The Battle of Endor ended in a decisive victory for the Rebels with the destruction of the Death Star II and the death of the Emperor. After the battle, Becky and Zander reunited at the Rebel Alliance’s celebration at Bright Tree Village. Following the end of the Galactic Civil War, Becky and Zander married, started a family, and had a daughter named Moxie, who would follow in her parents’ footsteps and join the Resistance to fight against the First Order.
