Aric Qel-Droma was a human male Jedi master born as twin brother to legendary Jedi historian Arell Qel-Droma. He, alongside his brother, was discovered to be force-sensitive by Voss Jedi Knight Bharrak Verrine, and was taken to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to be trained as a padawan to Verrine's friend, the Houk Jedi Master Arof Thallan.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Aric Qel-Droma was born as a descendant of legendary jedi Ulic Qel-Droma, Cay Qel-Droma, and Duron Qel-Droma. When he was one, in 195 BBY, he and his brother were discovered to be force-sensitive by Bharrak Verrine, who was on a mission to protect the great-great-great-grandfather of Bail Organa, Dartan Organa. He was taken by Verrine alongside Arell to be padawan to jedi historian Arof Thallan.
Career[]
As a Knight, Aric was a historian in the Jedi Archives, writing many a book alongside his brother, a fellow historian. Eventually, he took a padawan of his own, Vax Johunne. He, Vax, Arell, and Ple, Arell's padawan, later known only by his surname, Unskette traveled around the galaxy to research historians in the jedi order that had been long forgotten. This includes jedi seer and historian Barrius Vrake, a Britarro and padawan of founding member of the Je'Daii Order, Jaro Barohan, who was also the first Jedi historian.
Death[]
Eventually, a 69-year-old Arell journeyed to Britaxis Minor alongside his brother and the two padawans, to finally uncover the lost documents of Barrius Vrake. It was there that Rugess Nome, now known as Darth Tenebrous was waiting for Jedi to come searching for documents that he had discovered inside the Britaxis Minor Jedi Temple, Built by Vrake himself. Once the Jedi had fallen into his trap that he slaughtered them. However, only Aric was killed and Nome was defeated.
Post-mortem[]
After his death, Aric was never referred to by his name, only as "The departed brain", as he was the one that knew all of the contents of his and Arell's books, Arell just put that knowledge down onto paper. After Aric's death, Arell stopped writing books for the archives.
Personality and traits[]
Like his brother, Aric was fluent in Basic, Huttese, Shyriiwook, Mando'a, Shusugaunt, Ewokese, Voss, Aqualish and Lannik, but, unlike his brother, he could also speak a few words of Houkese, though his master preferred to speak in Basic. He was taller than Arell, but not as heavy.
