Advanians were a sentient humanoid species that originated on the planet Advan. They walked on their hind legs and had very sensitive hearing, smelling, and sight. Most Advanians lived in regions around or above the tropic line on Advan. However, due to a thick all-over coat of hair, they could live in regions with below freezing temperatures.

Advanians lived in large family groups, usually headed by the males. Advanians were intelligent, and they worked and interact with others on a regular daily basis. The common weight for an Advanian was 95 to 150 pounds, and their diets consisted of mainly meat. Some cultures were omnivorous, however.
